Just got this massive Prime from tfsource today and all I can say is WOW!!!! My 2 yr old daughter was holding his hand like it was her bestie! Can't wait until Toy Alliance releases the Megatron so I can have them both displayed together on my Megatron and OP shrine.

This guy is amazing. The red is definitely not as red as I would like but it fits his overall color scheme.

Mine came with a broken hip skirt, a stress mark on his antennae, figure print indents from when the paint was wet, and small globes of oil in random places.
I emailed TFSource about it last night. They are good at fixing problems.

All things considered, this figure is amazing. I can't wait to get other toys from Toy Alliance. Get this guy while you still can.

 

I can only imagine how damn sweet an Ultra Magnus this scale would be! I'd have to put him in the living room...and that would be ok.

Mine came with a few issues too, most (except one, following up on that with vendor) of which I can overlook because he is so damn cool! Really excited for MAS-02 now.

 

Bring on MAS-02 Megatron ASAP, my MAS-01 Prime is gettin lonely without his bestie!

I finally got him and I'm surprised to see such little fanfare for him on this site besides this thread. Huge, super detailed and articulated prime? I've seen far worse things get way more attention.

 

It seems like a lot of the collectors on this forum are not big fans of non transforming transformer figures. Personally, I prefer super articulated transformers that don't transform over the ones that do. I have alaways felt that the "transforming" feature compromises the overall look and function of the figure. I have my $$ ready and waiting for Toy Alliance's Megatron so bring it out ASAP please!!

 

I agree that it's probably because it doesn't transform, but I've seen a lot more attention given to Hot Toy's Prime. Which to be honest I think besides the paint wash isn't as impressive. 3A's Prime has also gotten a bit more attention, again just having a nice paint wash.

Well, I have a lot of transformers and don't often transform them, so I can deal with the occasional non transforming transformer as long as the design and pose-ability are great.

 

Never understood that either about some of the fandom. Three A and Hot Toys seem to get all the fanfare, not that their products aren't great, but prices are steep. Having hard enough time getting some of all the great stuff that has seen release lately.
I have more than enough Optimus Primes that transform that I can enjoy for the truck mode. Having a super articulated figure at this size, detail, and at a decent price lets me enjoy the character himself. When mas-02 Megatron enters the picture, I will definitely get him as well as any others they release. Can you imagine how fantastic Soundwave, Grimlock, Starscream, et al. would look like in this line. Of course figures this size are not for everyone, especially with space restraints. If Toys Alliance keeps the quality up and the price points in this range and keep releasing these, they have earned a buyer for life.  

 

Yeah, an entire line like this would definitely become a space problem. Definitely would get Megatron though.

 

Thats the "big" problem with extra large figures, lack of space. Been rearranging alot of my collection to maximize the room I have to fit these big boys, and trying to make it not to cluttered looking.

Yup. Even if I could squeeze MAS01 into my case (about equivalent to detolf size) he'd be uncomfortable, and a waste of awesome posable badassed-ness.. This guys needs to spread out his bad-assedness and pose with limbs outstretched, in search of an equivalent enemy. As of now, he stands atop my autobot case performing careful watch, and looking simply fantastic.
