Just an update with my order with mingyang9696:

My shipment was stuck in Beijing for 12 days. So i messaged him again and he replied by saying that I shouldn't worry and that it's still on the way.

Then I noticed just now that he started getting negative feedback stating that he sent out bracelets. So, as a result, can I call Paypal right away to make a claim? Or do i have to wait until I get a bracelet myself? :/

Wow. Just noticed that.
I'd say give Paypal a call and explain the situation to a live agent and mention what you've observd ans see if they will start the refund process or you can wait it out if you choose.

Got my refund from ebay 2 days after zhishenzhu169 went rogue.

Couple of purchases shipped from toyfly2015 with valid tracking which should be here shortly.

 

I can only see one negative on there saying the tracking number was fake, can he hide negative feedback? My Sideswipe KO bracelet has left Beijing apparently so I'll update when I get it. Based on this thread though I contacted him asking if he has sent me a bracelet to give me a refund.

 

Look at the two positive feedback messages under the negative one. Those used to be negative and stated that he sent bracelets and was a scammer. But then they were edited by the ebay buyer after receiving refunds. I didn't bother contacting him and called Paypal. They escalated the dispute into a claim right away and within the hour, I was refunded my money in full. I haven't left any feedback, waiting to see if the package finally arrives and if its indeed a bracelet. If the package arrives and it is indeed the YM Ramjet, I've no problem sending him the money again. But it apparently left Beijing 12 days ago and there hasn't been any update since.

I thought I mentioned a while ago that he turned scammer. His profile is inactive.

I am so done gambling on Ebay with these sellers. Paypal was hassling me about getting too many refunds in a few months. I think it's one guy scamming everyone with a bunch of profiles he created a long time ago. Taobao is now my crack for cheap 3P stuff. My SeverX just hit the US coast and is going through customs.

 

I'm not sure who the mod is for this thread, but would it be possible to give ChromeMagnus edit rights to the OP? He's more diligent on this topic than I am and would handle the updates to the list much better.

 

He contacted me saying:

"Hello:

Please rest assured, before due to staff errors, and things more reasons, there are two items of the buyer to send error, that does not mean that will appear error, please wait patiently, don't worry about it. Thank you very much!"

 

So you feel pretty confident about using Taobao at this point or do you need to do a couple more transaction there first?

 

I wouldn't say I know it extremely well, but I am comfortable enough to make all my future 3P purchases there.

I've had a few messages from the seller, each saying that he's tried refunding the money to me but can't "due to a paypal issue". One of the early replies noted that he had hired a member of staff who's sent me the bracelet, rather than the goods, whilst another stated "today I will send you a real project as a gift". Given that the negative count has soared up to 12, it looks like eBay gets to step in yet again. With all of sellers of the JB08 Matrix being in China I think I might just have to take this as a sign (this was the third attempt) and give up on trying to buy it.

 

Yeah mingyang is pretty much saying it's staffing issues too.

Looks like mingyang9696 is a scammer. Sent out a package but put a ludicrously incorrect house number and street name while getting the city, state, and zip code correct. My order is currently on it's way back to China.
