Well, MP Megs is in Nottm. As the DPD depot is only down the road from here and they are closed today, it makes the wait all that more unbearable.

    Soon though...

    Right, real talk.

Of course MP Megatron has his faults. Mine had a couple of paint scratches out of the box, and I have two laughing heads and no shouting head (which apparently is very common). The transformation, while easy enough on the hand, is complex and takes a while. Oh, and I daren't risk attaching the silencer. So obviously there are things that could have been better.

But FUCK ME if this isn't a completely glorious figure. I really wasn't convinced it could better Maketoys Despotron. Even out of the box I wasn't sure. But after spending good time in hand with him there's absolutely zero doubt. I'm so completely smitten I've even contemplated getting another for precisely no reason at all other than the joy of wanting more of this very special thing. He's absolutely remarkable.

I went to Orbital (first time in months) and bought this dude. Must be one of those KOs you hear so much about because it doesn't transform at all. Doesn't even have wheels.what a Swizz.

I feel you. Mine is in Coventry and 'assigned to a route' alas, I doubt it will arrive today.

In the meantime I am enjoying this OS Combiner Wars Megatron KO that came bargain-a-rifically from china.

That's so good to hear. I cannot wait to get him here, checking my tracking every few minutes!!

Well, that's a turn up for the books! Chris in remembers-to-do-the-thing-he decided-to-put-off-until-later shocker!
Yup, this morning I actually remembered to use some of the same clear vinyl I used on Red's chest peg to make some little clear 'sealing tags' to secure the bottom corners of TR Sounders Chest door stickers that kept popping off, as I made a mental note to do after sorting Ol' Red!

And, yes, it did indeed spiral into me detailing his shoulder launcher too. Seems there's Mission Creep on every little mod I do at the mo!

Also the Ambulance stickers are apparently in the post, BRING IT.

    Right, I'm fucking livid.

Not in the slightest bit kidding.

I was planning on sending someone in this thread a surprise figure, just because.

Then they posted about some serious personal stuff and I thought: 'I'm definitely doing it now, hopefully it'll bring a smile to their face'.

And now I find out that they were milking the whole personal thing to shamelessly plug their sales thread, and spending any money made on new toys.

Im totally fucking disgusted and can't decide whether I'm glad or disappointed that they live too far away to deliver the surprise figure in person and wrap it around their fucking head.

You know who you are, you worthless cunt.

My Fansproject Dinonots arrived this morning and I LOVE 'em! Aside from the wee fellow who turns into an axe for Cubrar and the wee accessories for Columpio's chap being missing, everything else is in order. No instructions either - second hand - so I had to figure out the transformations myself

Thankfully they're very intuitive for the most part. Pretty excited to have Swoop/Velos as when I were a lad there wasn't one available really, and I've got his blue torso for swapsies if I fancy it.

Just waiting on Severo to arrive and for them to do Snarl now!

I think it highly likely I'll be buying as many Dinonots as I possibly can.

Oh, I took pics but still can't post them here yet :(

Probably a stupid question, but does anyone know if third-party companies like Fansproject do spare parts? If I could get the missing parts direct from them that would be ace.....ooooorrrrrrrrr....I could just buy another second hand set of them for the parts and keep them in alt-mode.....hmmmmmm....

So have we in this thread, basically been subjected to 'fake news'...?

And I reckon I wouldn't need Sherlock pissing Holmes to work it out.

Sorry everyone for dragging this into the light, you can all gather what has been happening.

Anyone directly involved has been Pm'd and I'll leave it for now.

Well that's taken an almost admirable amount of balls to put up a front breezier than Blackpool's, if it wasn't so fucking dispicable I'd actually clap. But I'm not clapping. And it is fucking dispicable.

My ignore list just got one fatter.

Moving on..........I physically can't get myself to put paint to Downbeat........It feels like sacrilege. Never had that problem before, but it's a problem now. Booze may cure it.

My goodness, that certainly got a bit dramatic!

See what happens when I go into a minor modding frenzy, after suddenly being overcome with a combination of frustration at waiting for a 3P solution for TR Sounders shabby sidearm and disgruntlement at having forked out for a G1 blaster for his FOC forebear, oh, and remembering you have a shedload of Construct-Bot kibble n' bits from a prior customising jag.
Well, no, not that. That's correlation, not causation. What happens is THIS!

Er, no, it's not a 5mm pegged Companion Cube actually.

See? It's got an 'oyle in it, innit?

    [IMG] [IMG]

After being worried about it still being too short, it turns out it's practically perfect, even on the colour front the grey's close enough to Sounders' that the two tone doesn't bug me enough to have to paint it as I thought it might.
    TOTAL WINNAGE!

Hmm, I would've suggested Sharpie, but it would probably rub off in the hand, unless you sealed it somehow. Which piece is that, exactly?
