Those were just a few concepts that were considered before we knew about Titan Wars. That really is just a super small sampling of concepts, many of which were nothing more than internal ideas but there are so many more that were close to actually happening. Probably should sort them all in to categories.

You are of course right. Always the possibility he'll turn up at some point. May not even be a TR figure. I just got my hands on RID Stormshot and I think he would be a good mold choice for Skyfall.

I'm more amazed MP Artfire's Targetmaster isn't just a repaint of the Hasbro Rodimus one.

On another note, I doubt they'd have been able to use "Skyfall" thanks to the recent Bond film. Hell, look how fascist Outback is about anything using their name...despite them not being in the toy business...

Unless they have the trademark for Skyfall for action figures, the movie Skyfall has no bearing on whether they can name a figure that.

Eh. Thrilling 30 Scoop might not be the most available figure, but I think he's too good a figure to waste a TR resculpt/new mold on replicating. (And yes, I am old-and-cranky enough to complain that we got Targetmasters as Headmasters in TR. But enough of my kvetching. :p

That Crosshairs design is quite nice, although the - faceplate? - is just weird. Good reuse of the Sgt. Kup mold, though.

Hopefully, HasCon will have some ideas as good as the ones FunPub had. The execution wasn't always perfect, but I'm still enjoying the Mayhems (individually - Thunder Mayhem does have his issues as a combiner, but his parts are pretty B) IMHO).

I wouldn't buy a book. But it does sound like the kinda content that should be on a website/magazine I paid 40 bucks annually to gain access to.

The Crosshairs head is their Botcon Hoist head and likely just the figure they had laying around when they did mock-up.

Were the club still around and working on the Transformers brand, I would agree with you. But they aren't. And they're concepts. So I'd still take the book. Of course they could go up in some archive similar to all the past Botcons. Either way. It would be super cool to see all of the concepts, around what time they were considered and maybe some footnotes to those concepts.

Maybe a year-by-year guide, with a "this is what we did ---> this is what we proposed" kind of layout.

Were there ever physical mockups of the Alternators set they had in mind?

I absolutely love to hear about stuff like this. Some of the ideas are just incredible and super creative. Thanks for the little tidbits! (I know a lot of us would love if there was a way a book (of concepts / ideas / mockups) could be released.

I would also buy that book. So I can be sad forever that there's no Machine Wars Hubcap. You broke my little heart, Pete.

Interesting that they would have another Optimus Prime from an Optimus Prime mold.

I want to see those proposed Botcon Autotroopers from the CW Trailerbreaker body eith the Hoist head. I would have bought those in an instant. Optimus and Skyfall would have been instant purchases too.

So, um, what is that color scheme for Optimus supposed to reference? Or is it supposed to be G1 inspired?

It's based off of Action Master Optimus Prime.
