And when you try to contact maketoys, they will tell you that they don't have replacement parts to supply for axle already. That's really bad for an established 3rd party company.

Yes after everything I read here I have been doing my best to treat axlewith care. I wish those "hip bars" were on ratcheted joints or something. It takes so much force to move them around in my copy. I try to move them as close to the joint as possible to avoid developing a significant "moment arm" that exceeds the material strength. So far so good.

Overall I love this set. And would buy two more to display in all modes but there is no way I would ever get that cleared with the misses.

Until you have carefully moved all the parts and understand their tolerances for movement, I wouldn't just go in and start man-handeling any part of the set. There's a learning curve and if I may coin a term, a respect curve that you've got to go through. Having said that I love this set and I appreciate all the information folks have posted in this thread.

It's probably the same low-grade zinc alloy that makes up the majority of all diecast in toys.

It's just that Axle's transformation submits those parts to high degrees of torque and tension that exacerbates the material's natural brittleness in ways that you're not necessarily expecting.

Diecast parts are fine in big solid chunks, for weight distribution and structure, but they're not invincible like people tend to assume.

Decent. I emailed them for a replacement part for Quantron and took about 2 months for them to send it out to me.

I'd say awesome, my Quantron's Blindfire fist's wrist clip broke and they sent 2 whole replacement fists for $10 which was mostly shipping.

I freaking love this thing! It took me forever to get all the bits and pieces because of some mixups, but it was so worth the wait.

So, I have a question for anyone who has both the Guardia set and Quantron set. I have Quantron, but I'm thinking about picking up Himed. I was wondering if it's possible to do a Scramble City with Himed and Quantron, and if either of Quantron's fists are compatible with Himed.

Scramble City with the arms are quite possible, because the shoulders use the same connectors. However, Quantron and Guardia use completely different hand connectors, so that's not gonna work.

It's also not going to look all that "balanced", because Guardia's arms are way beefier than Quantron's.

The shoulder attachment points of both sets are identical, (albeit rather cramped for the bulky Himed) but Quantron's hands are only designed to attach to Blindfire and Overheat. Guardia's hands attach in a completely different method.
