Maybe we know now who the MoCap-Actress was playing. She was fairly short, iirc.

My theory was that maybe Cybertron changes its look over the years. It is made of various Transformer metals, right? And the TF1 flashback was near the beginning of the war, while DotM was probably thousands of years later. That's plenty of time for a Transformer landscape to transform, I think.

    That's brutal.

But would be my favourite thing if we see Cogsman straight out going psycho and ripping a random mook's head and taking over to beat the living energon out of the other mooks.

Ooooh yeah Cogsman just went straight up on my personal favourites besides Dragonstorm.

I've also heard that Crosshairs makes him mad and he easily takes him down and breaks his finger, despite being only four feet tall.

    That sounds awesome if true.

Buuut a robot with a broken finger sounds odd to me a little bit.

After bumblebee not having a voice for 4 movies, you find a broken appendage odd? :lolol

I thought of Crosshairs with a loose finger and it was an odd thought. Like, one of his fingers flimsying around. Weird mental image.

Then I realized that it probably meant Crosshairs losing a finger. I'm slow.

No biggie. Probably part of a comedy bit they could do in the movie anyway. It's not like Cade can't fix it. Crosshairs might need his fingers. Though losing the finger is kind of reminiscent of toys that break theirs off.

    Great write up!

Cannot wait to see the footage myself when I go to London on April 4th to see it at the local Cineworld in Leicester Square.

No offense but when a studio gives people special treatment to spread buzz on a film I start getting suspicious about how bad that movie is going to be. At heart I think most people are nice people so after someone went out of their way to be super ultra nice it just seems like human nature to want to say nice things instead of this is not looking good or there could be big issues.

After all these films it's going to take a lot of reviews for me to think they have actually come up with something that is all good while all the bad stuff and problems have gone away.

You mean, when studios promote their films? Didn't Disney do similar things for their Star Wars movies?

Not only Disney, giving the press an early look at a film isn't anything new, it's been done for years. Especially for blockbuster films like this.

Ok so can we get some clearification on if Tucci is or isn't Merlin? Now IGN is also reporting they know from CinemaCon that he's Merlin?

The guys from TFW2005 who saw it (and I trust them much more) say Merlin looks and sounds nothing like Tucci.

Here's a question Tony Bacala. I got the impression from the write ups I have seen that not much in the way of Decepticon footage was shown other than maybe a few brief shots we have seen in trailers. It seems like mainly Autobots, medieval stuff, TRF, and Cade and other human protagonists were shown. Was there any indication not much has been shown of the Decepticons, Quintessons, or Optimus in space for spoiler reasons?

Also, I heard that things were much worse for Cybertronians and Earthlings alike in the present day, and Transformers were making messes of cities in their battles. Was that something actually shown on screen in the footage, or was it only mentioned in exposition?

Finally, was there any footage of Transformers fighting Nazis?

Every article i read now from other sources that say "they were there" are all saying Tucci is Merlin. Unless there are just that many that were really not there and just coping other sources info?

Well it was interesting that everyone was saying Sophia Myles was playing a 14 year old girl at one point, so I could see that happening.

Not much of those angles were shown, correct. No reason was given.

During Hopkins extended explanation in the Castle scene, he explains that Transformers have been arriving on Earth in more frequency since the last movie. Random fights break out in major cities, causing damage. So the "why they keep coming here" isn't just long term over time, the events we've seen in the movies and flashbacks, but also more immediate, as in, since AoE, things have gotten crazy.

    Nope.
