I'll definitely look into Amazon JP but my preferred is still NY. Seems like their price was still the lowest.

Appolyon in hand was one of the worst disappointments for me personally.

So how much was it at NY? They have always been one of the more expensive ones for me. I got mp36 for $178 from amazon japan. They did better than that?

 

Yeah, about $5 less. Not sure how they could be one of the most expensive when they definitely have the lowest listed preorder price compared to the other typical Japanese online shops. Their shipping prices are also one of the lowest. I regularly get products from NY shipped for less than most other places list for without shipping.

I eventually got it for 198, but it looks like the yen went down the next day, certainly not as good as Amazon.

 

I don't suppose some of you lucky buggers that already have MP-36, and are posting these awesome pictures, would mind taking some shots of him in gun mode? I'd love to see some pictures of the weaker panels that don't tab together well, as well as some of the areas that it looks seamless.

Amazon shipped mine and I have the other one in HLJ private warehouse with MB11.

Depends on when you ordered with Amazon JP. Amazon has lowest PO price guarantee based from the time you placed your order to it being shipped. The lowest price Amazon has it listed at between those dates will be what they will charge you.

In my case, MP36 cost 15,865 yen before shipping and duty deposit fee.

 

Tamara Shockwave sucks even more in this shot. Too short. Soundwave has the biggest feet, And you know what that means, right? He has a big ...

... chest cavity. For cassettes, obviously.   Seriously, though, this is an excellent picture. Well done. Not including Shockwave, the 1984 Deceptions are complete. Now all we need is to complete the 1984 Autobot Ark crew.

 

I dunno, Shockwave is a lot closer to perfect than Megatron. But yeah, all subjective.

 

Oh I agree, a lot of what's been said in this thread is subjective. It's just for me, looking back on the G1 cartoon, Shockwave was animated in a worms-eye perspective. Just as Megatron was a lot of times. In other words (for those that don't know) we were looking up at him, giving the illusion that he was a tall, intimidating villain. It wasn't extreme, but it was enough to give me that impression. I've always believed Shockwave was as tall, or very close to as tall as Megatron. That picture shows Megatron towering over all 3 of his main minions. And I'm okay with him being taller than Starscream. Soundwave looks about right, though. Just my humble opinion.

 

Probably i'm in denial but he doesn't look goofy at all to me.
But i have no art credentials so probably i'm wrong...
But nonetheless i find always funny when people act as disliking tt's products is legitimate while disliking 3p products (expecially the goofy ones, you know like the stumpy legged one or the fat one) is offence to god.
It must depend on the fact that i have no art credentials...
