HLJ is also installing the orange plugs, even though Megs will be in robot mode. In the email, they said not to remove the plug. Yea, that ugly piece of scrap will be coming off. I don't plan on displaying or carrying him around in his alt mode.

 

I wonder if AmiAmi will be adding the plug too or not.

MP-5 passed through just fine. Customs will x-ray the package at the very most and it's packed in robot mode. I don't foresee anyone having issues this time either.

US based shops have all said they're adding them as did HLJ just announce.

 

Oh dear. I hope Robot Kingdom doesn't insert plugs for other customers that live in Asia. There was a plug in my Apollyon from them, but I think that X-Transbots put the plug in. Not RK.

Random thought - if Takara decided to do a Masterpiece Blurr, would you want the front bit to turn into his shield like the G1 toy, or not? And how do you think Takara would do it?

 

Most likely no shield, I think in the animation that front part ends up somewhere (colorwise)
Maybe left field is a minibot, Mp36 is going to be a tough act to follow for anybody. If they are releasing Jazz,I hope they have refined his plans after mp36. Mp36 looks like it will definitely the game.

 

I wouldn't worry about it man. You bring interesting tidbits to the table, and you're always very clear that it is subject to change, etc. You hold up your volunteer status as our best local source of info very nicely and kindly.

That'll be an interesting Masterpiece Transformer. Airrazor had a bot mode that was quite different from the original toy she had. They might do the chest portion like with Cheetor in that instance.

 

In that instance, I'd say "go ahead and release it!!!!!!!!!!" I've been waiting for a new Sunstreaker for years! I finally got the G1 version of Sunstreaker, and while my childhood self is feeling a little more complete, my adult self wants a real, 'perfect' version of Sunstreaker that has a perfect car mode and a toon accurate/toy accurate bot mode, preferably as detailed as the toy was, but with the toon head.

 

I expect that's pretty likely. The head of the falcon was spread across her whole chest, but it's quite small in beast mode. I expect that the nature of a bunch of the characters 3D models will require a bit of parts-forming a la Cheetor. Rattrap would probably be fairly similar in that too.

Personally, I don't love parts-forming, it it doesn't bother me terribly when it leads to a nice effect, or solves an engineering issue that might really damage the ascetic of the figure otherwise.
