Well, it's been taking me long enough to let these puppies out into the wild due to random tinkering here and there, but I'd say it's about time I show off the few that I've completed. Now without further ado, let's start off with a bang.
A BRUTAL BANG! Sweet Vector Prime, that was terrible.
So in case if you didn't notice, the gimmick with all these custom combiners is gonna be that they're built with every part in both the main set and whatever missing members of the team were released, (except for the spare combiner limbs; those are gonna be used up for future custom figures,) and that of course means that Bruticus here has... at least some of Blast-Off attached to his arm in all his space shuttling glory. The tricky part here is that this also includes all the Combaticon's heads and helmets, so some liberties were take with where those would go.
Now, speaking of what to do with other members' heads and other such appendages...

    PREDAKING and Rampage
While it was obvious to give Predacons Tantrum (or Torox) and Headstrong (or Headlock) their heads back, the next challenge was figuring what should fill the gap where Rampage's/Headstrong's/Headlock's head was originally. So I killed two birds with one stone, which is to say I made a bloody mess. Looking away from that blemish though, I'm quite satisfied with how the rest of the model turned out, primarily the forearms and middle section. Speaking of, if you're planning to rebuild this in a purist fashion by not cutting those dumb life jackets, I recommend putting the red ones back on the legs while the orange one might limit some movement.
Another thing I should note is the two Bumblebee peashooters on the bottom legs. This is a little something I learned about while toying with the parts selection. Not only does it make for a good place to keep all the spare guns, but it makes for some much needed heel support and posing potential.

Anywho, That should be all for now. I've got plenty of these down the line for anybody interested. See you next post ✌

Technically not kre-o, but Target is selling a set of four building block creatures in easter-egg style packaging for $3 a pop. They feature a passable T-rex, an ankylosaurus, a scorpion, and a little blue monster called Grimjaw (or thereabouts).

I haven't bought any yet, so I don't know what the plastic quality is, but it looks like they might be good for some spare parts if nothing else (especially hinges).

You have to find your Target's "budget" toy aisle (usually around the pool toys, squirt guns, balls, etc.). They appear to be part of a new line of cheap toys.

Just recently noted that Dollar General stores (or at least one near me) has a bunch of Kreo microchangers blind bags, (apparently rereleases, as they have no figure identity number printing). Unlike the yellow-topped bags of the Rodimus/Slipstream/& more wave that swarms the Walgreens, this is blue-topped bags and has Arcee/Bulkhead/Lugnut/Powerglide, among others. (appears to be the 'series 2' wave)

Awhile ago, I was at a festival in Providence where Hasbro had set up a kiddie pool of Kre-O bricks, and was letting everybody fill a bag for free. I grabbed all the ball and sockets I could, which was great. However, I ended up with many more ball bricks than sockets, and don't know what to do with them. Specifically:

2x4 brick w/ ball on each end: 8 black, 11 grey, 2 white
2x2 brick w/ ball on one end: 1 white
    2x3 brick w/ ball on post: 3 white, 1 lime, 1 maroon, 1 purple
    2x3 brick w/ ball between tines: 9 grey, 2 black, 2 red, 1 navy, 1 purple, 1 white, 1 light grey

Any ideas for what I can build with these? I was thinking I might be able to use some as feet for a mech of some kind, so the balls touch the ground instead of any plastic.

Not sure what he's worth dollar wise, but know that it's pretty hard to get. I was hunting diligently for him through some Canadian TF sites and ebay.ca with no luck. Actually, scored and picked it up about a year ago from someone selling a Kre-O lot on ebay.com which contained a sealed Elite Prime for a little more than $20 shipped.

I noticed the $200+ one on ebay now. That seller originally had it for much less, but no doubt noticed it was pretty rare and decided to raise the price.

Too bad he wasn't more common. I'd love to have some extra of the red combiner parts for customs that it comes with.

I made this Centaur out of the leftover parts of Kre-O Devasator. The white piece rotates so anyone of the 4 heads can face front. The fingers are levers; the thumbs are ball joints.

Thanks. I took/posted the pic because I was thinking of dissassembling him to make other things. Then, I learned that the discount store kits that just have the vehicle modes on the box do include the bot joints, so I bought a couple of them instead. That gave me enough not-LEGOs to make not-Transformers.

These are mostly LEGO bodies, but with Kre-O heads.

Finally got my hands on a Long Haul and a Blight, plus a Computron and Nosecone at long last! That means I have a couple combiners off the ground, but the forum's been a bit of a crapshoot when it comes to deciding whether I can upload things. In the meantime, hope nobody minds knees and me slowly but surely cheating on Kre-O with Tenkai Knights.
