BD House on aliexpress just lowered the price of the combiner bits, as well as sideload.

 

purchased the combined accessories and a couple of OS Throttlebots from both Ali express and sirtoys last weekend. I picked up the original 3 oversized Throttlebots over a year ago and they've pretty much have remained untouched since then.

With TF Direct now having the freeway/highway (blue arm) up for pre-order, I'm only missing a red grind rod and a yellow trace to double up on this gestalt team (in the color combos I want... One all red/blue limbs with orange chest & one white, beige, yellow, orange limbs with goldbug as chest). This'll help balance the odds with the ~17"+ decipticon gestalts that currently outnumber the autobot ~17" combiners in my collection.

So while I wait another ~3-weeks for these pieces to arrive, it'd be nice if those that get these earlier can post comparison pics.  

(Or would that be worse since that would either have the anticipation increase while I wait, or demonstrate disappointing results that I've already made a double investment in  ... Oh, well)

 

I too am on the hunt for a Red Grind Rod. Paul from Sir Toys thinks they might re-release the multi colored versions when they start doing variants on the new guys.

 

That's welcome news. I had a hunch that might happen. I wonder if they'll come with an alternate color for sideload, and if so, what that would be.

Now that I think about it, I wonder what a stealth stealth version of that set would look like. All black with highlights (or limbs) of their main color... Hmmm, or if they'd come up with a different color combiner head. Perhaps a silver head and a Silverbug... Boy, if I was skilled at customizing, I might be a dangerous man.  

 

Just ordered OS Shinebug. I've heard too many good things about these figures, and I really wanted the Toyworld Shinebug.

 

I am slated to get my combiner bits tomorrow, cannot wait.

 

My parts came today. This guy is massive. Just did the legs for now to get a height comparison. No idea why the pic posted upside down .

The chest panel on on Wide Load in gestalt mode is wrongly configured. You are at risk breaking those panels

 

They aren't stressed . The shoulders are tilted. I'll redo it proper when I have time. I wanted to see how big the guy was so I rushed it.

Have not had the time to post my almost complete combiner but he is awesome in person. Next to TR soundwave he is twice the size of Soundwave, just epic. Also, yesterday I was looking at the combiner gun and thought the tab looks just like the one for Generations Metroplex and (pauses for effect) fits in his hand!!!!! So that means it will also fit TR Fort Max!!!! So happy, will need to buy another gun. Just one note, while the gun tab fits in just right the stock thumb does not allow for the gun to slide in, so either you will have a thumbless Fort Max or you need a new hand with better fingers. MegamoonMan's hand for Metroplex does the trick nicely, I tested it out last night and they both look bad ass with the gun.

 

Something that I was just now messing with the gun using the back two holes of the gun you can mount the gun as if it is an arm. Gun Arm FTW.

 

I hope they do restock with the red Grindrod cause I plan on making him Ironhide and aurora into Ratchet!!
