SO Jakks has revealed some castle playset and they have Bowser on it. The only thing is that I'm not sure if it is a playset for the 2 inch toys that comes with a 4 inch Bowser or for the 4 inch toys and comes with the 6inch Bowser.
So I saw at TRU that there are two different versions of Wind Waker Link. One that comes with a shield, and one that comes with the wind waker. Oh, and they have different facial expressions. WTF though? Both items are important to the game, why are they making me have to choose between a shield or the WW if I buy him? Why can he not just come with both?
I could be wrong, as it's been a while since I've seen any of them in-person, but I want to say that the playsets they've been doing have actually been a smaller scale of their own. Though if-not, they've all been in the 2" scale. Would be interesting to see, but I can't imagine them doing a playset in-scale with the 4" figures. Especially one that also comes with a 6" figure, since those have not sold too well.
This is a long shot, but can anyone help me out with Star Power Mario? I just want the little star he comes with. You can keep the actual figure....
Unfortuantely, the star would be the only reason I would even buy the figure. ANyway, I ended up finding another 2 inch Metroid today. YAY!! Now I have 3.
Why does Link look so lifeless? BTW, which Toad is in scale with the Figuarts Mario, the 4inch one of the 2 incher? I'm asking because I always recall Toad being half the size of Mario.
Ouch, that new Link looks... just... ehh, I'm just gonna stick with my amiibo, lol. Finally picked up Phazon Suit Samus. I'm not wild about the articulation, but I really like this figure a lot. Just can't go wrong with black, silver & red.
Got the 4" Inkling Girl today and I'm really disappointed with the tolerances on mine. Joints feel gummy and the backpack won't stay on because of the sculpt. The back is arched so only part of the plug goes in and that's not enough to hold it. Such a shame, I was really looking forward to this one.
Man, the new Walgreens exclusives seem to be a lot easier to find than the older ones. I've already found the modern 8-bit Toad and the Turquoise Squid, so now I only need the GiTD Boo. I hadn't realized how underdetailed the orange squid is until I had the turquoise one to compare it to. The eyes on the turquoise one are actually detailed, while the orange one's are just black spots. And the underside of the tentacles aren't painted on the orange one either. Now I'm wondering if the green and purple ones are the same.
Question, which Toad is more in scale with the Figuarts Mario, the 4inch one or the 2inch one? I always thought Toad was tiny compared to everyone else, but that 4inch Toad is huge (while Link, Zelda, and Samus get gypped in size).
I can't speak to Figuarts Mario, but the 4 inch Toad scales well with the 4 inch WofN Mario (which, I think, is about the same size as Figuarts Mario?). Toad is actually a bit over 3 inches, so he's just a bit shorter than Mario, which looks right to me. But then I'm used to Super Mario Bros 2, where Mario and Toad were roughly the same size. Has anyone seen any of the recent WofN waves out at retail? Specifically, the one with Ice Mario, Lakitu, and Bowser Jr. with paintbrush. All I see out there lately is some regular Marios, blue Yoshis, that frog guy from Starfox, and some Animal Crossing characters.
Lot of these circulating through my area now. Is there any difference (besides the wave) between the one in the packaging with Majora's Mask Link in the corner and Wind Waker Link in the corner? I have the former, I saw the latter at KMart today. I also saw one of those 5 dollars metroids, but I saw a Marvel Legend I've been eyeing up for 6 months the and had to get that instead. I don't have a Samus to put a Metroid with anyway....
