The trailer that was mentioned was going to hit at some point "later today" went up a little under an hour ago on facebook.

It looks pretty good and shows off new characters and/or new gameplay for characters such as Ultra Magnus, Soundwave, AOE Drift, Rhinox, and a few others.

I've been playing the dev's other fighting game (Marvel Contest of Champions) which is almost 100% the same as this except with Marvel instead of Transformers characters, and (except for the latest drama), it's not a blatant money-grab like all other licencees of Transformers IP for mobile games have been, so I have high hopes for this game.

 

Welp...Soon I\'ll be ditching Earth Wars.

Considering all the "flops" (Deadpool - commercial and critcal flop; COD:AW - commercial success but critical flop) that they had after WFC and FOC, High Moon might not be in the same shape now as your nostalgia glasses think they are

 

Game continues to look great; can't wait for the global launch, though I'm still worried the F2P elements will be as disgusting as Contest of Champions.

Yeah! Give me another by the numbers 3rd person shooter with the same jokes (HEY REMEMBER THE 86 MOVIE I SURE DO TIL ALL ARE ONE TOUCH BALONEY STANDING!!!!!!!) and texture popping. Don't ever give us anything other than a shooty game same as it ever was watching the days go by.

Either way it sounds like you're content with any random cheap by the numbers fighting game apps for sake of it being Transformer oriented....

Don't confuse Nostalgia for the simple demand for quality video games. Last time I checked many Dev's still strive to make great quality games. As a die hard TF fan why would I settle for less.

Activision still holds the keys here but I honestly don't care which studio steps up to make a good TF game just as long as its good! Are we clear now......

 

I've wanted a proper fighting transformers game for ages and this is the closest we'll probably get. I wish it had street fighter style controls instead of marvel TOC controls. I'll still play it though.

Me waiting? No, not really.....

Games like Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4) and Halo Wars 2 (XB1) and the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda are what take up my time and money.

Just giving Hasbro and Activation clues on how to divert some that time and money their way.

 

Advanced Warfare was both a commercial and critical success. The only game that seemed to put High Moon "under" was Deadpool. However, I have a hard time believing that after having two successful Transformers games and one semi-successful one (Dark of the Moon), Deadpool was enough of a failure to put High Moon under. Activision only fired employees that worked on the game and, for some reason, High Moon was relegated to porting games from one console generation to the other. The team members that worked on the Cybertron games are still at HMS, that I know of, but I don't think we're going to be getting another Transformers game from them any time soon.
