I am relatively new here and was wondering about Dr. Killinger and his work. He seems like a respected member on here and so I contacted him about some hip covers for Feral Rex. He replied quickly and stated that he had them in stock and would send them out this week (last week), so I sent him the payment.

Since that time, he has not provided a tracking number nor has he replied to my PMs. This appears very shady and I was wondering if others have had the same type of experience. Any insight would be appreciated.

 

I PM'd him weeks ago about an issue with an order I placed with him, but he hasn't been back on here since before I sent the PM. I'll wait until my next order is supposed to ship out before I worry, but it has definitely been weird not seeing him in here at all.

 

Dr. Kill is a legit seller and stand up guy. You might be better off trying to contact him on Facebook where he's a bit more active.

 

I would highly recommend pm be sent to his facebook, and not this forum. Maybe even to his webstore. Your call though, i just know Facebook is the way that works best.

 

Like I said, I'm not worried about it, and if I was I would definitely e-mail him.  

 

Thanks for the suggestions but Facebook was where all the PMs were made. After the initial inquiries and payment, he went silent on me.

 

Even on Facebook he isn't good with replies. Posts to the GCI page for updates on Gulper and Brute parts go unanswered.

Killinger has time to take jabs at scammers on Facebook groups, but he's currently in the process of becoming one himself, with the lack of solid updates on his GCI products.

 

When was your final pm? Can you try again now and report back?

 

Sorry to hear this. I do see him on facebook and he usually answers me back, but it is not for those things you mentioned. If it was me, I would ask for money back if no answers to pm...

 

His last reply was on the 1st of March, before I sent my payment. I contacted Saturday with another in-stock question then again last night. And those had no replies. I will try again.

 

He has been pretty good to reply with a couple days to my Facebook messages, but I have been waiting over a year for the Brute Gun sets and Feral Rex Hip Armors....yes, the ones in stock. He, however, has not been forthcoming about his progress on these sets, and has failed horribly at meeting any of his approximate dates he said they would ship in the last 6 months. I know of the flooding damage he dealt with last year and gave him a pass for that, but it really appears as though he put these sets on the back burners to focus on newer projects with collaborators such as the Megatron, Liokaiser, and Piranacon upgrade sets.

I have quietly followed the related posts for some time and have seen his strong following, but have not seen any actions worthy of such fervor. Once I get my purchases from him, I will be forever done with him because I honestly do not trust him enough to invest in future custom projects and already deal well with TFSource and BBTS for my Transfomer and 3rd-party purchases. I understand if there are still many who trust him and do not fault them. They may have had better luck than I.

 

He went out of his way to help me out to fix my own carelessness so I am sure he will come through for you.

 

He responded to an email of mine last week within hours.

 

Doesn't sound like the Dr. K that I know...He's done a custom for me that I reviewed and sent a couple of other things that he was working on so that I could review it. That was a while back, but reading these negative comments seem strange compared to the communication that I had with him.

Really not trying to rip anyone off or keep any monies, which is why I always offer refunds to anyone who doesn't want to wait.

As for the Brute updates, I tried to keep people up to date with the info I had, but I can't give any updates when I am don't have anything new to share. Anyway, half of the sets are done and I should get them in stock late next week and will start shipping them out.

Edit: I don't log into to TFW too often anymore, but if some one needs to reach me I'll be around for the next 48 hours on here, and can always reach out to my personal FB and email I listed above.

 

I've never scammed anyone nor kept any money from anyone who has paid me and requested a refund. I even go out of my to try and keep things amicable by offering freebies when I can at my own cost.

That't not true, they were not put on the back burner for new projects, the difference in those you listed and the Brute parts is that the new projects are all resin cast, while the Brute parts are all injection molded. Two completely different beasts and ways or producing.

And I agree, these have dragged on a long time, but so many things came up, and like I admitted in the Gulper thread, I was not prepared for the demand or the actual production learning curve.

 

"While you're here"-----any news on Ironshell parts? Clear pink bits will make it look so much better once they're installed.
