I'm thinking I'll just leave the beast mode head off when he's in robot mode (which is how he'll be displayed).

I don't like how the whiskers get messed up (unless I just screwed up while transforming him).

Great looking picture, amazing looking. They look so good that....that it looks like they jumped out of the show to real life! The natural light make them look even more outstanding.

At least yours is in transit. Mine hasn't left the warehouse yet, and no word on when it will.

So, no major issues out of the box. Transformed him to bot mode and back again. The shoulders aren't too tight on mine (if anything, that small bit everyone has complained about may be a tad too loose fitting on mine, but it works. The right one won't fully tab in, but it holds nonetheless. The left one went in very easy and also holds.)

No chipped/scratched paint after transformation that I can see.

The back/midsection in beast mode does slightly come apart as per everyone else's experiences upon picking him up. The head in beast mode also likes to pop off when trying to extend that neck joint, but it's easily resolved of course.

I found the best way to keep the midsection from flopping loose completely in beast mode is: make sure everything's tabbed in including his butt/tail partsforming piece, then mash together that accordion hinge in his stomach as tight as it will safely go, then put his gut blaster in place, then mash together again. he still comes open a cm or less when picked up, but no longer completely sags when I do that.

He's a PITA to transform back into beast mode, simply because as others have opined, the shoulder/belly transition is hard to reverse engineer going backwards via the instructions, but I did finally figure it out. The only other hardship mine has is that last bot mode blue panel pressing into place.

I haven't broken, scratched, or overly loosened anything so far, knock on wood.

Impressions: GORGEOUS paint apps, super expressive (though mine came a little bit cock eyed in beast mode out of the box lol - not sure if that's normal or not, but funny nonetheless either way - I haven't messed with the other eyes or faces yet at all, just initial testing and feeling out of the figure,) excellent articulation except maybe for the bot mode head to some degree, and while a little scary at times to transform, in my case ultimately stable.

Just a handful of preliminary pics. Will try to take more/better when I'm not so out of it from inexplicable stomach weirdness lol.

I've got to remember when it comes to Masterpiece, always pay the larger shipping cost.

Just got him today. As others have reported, the chest is a bit finicky in beast mode. Otherwise, he's an impressive piece. He elevates Primal's standing, and really earns the title of Masterpiece.

Sure, the guns aren't easily tabbed in, and one of the beast paws doesn't fold up correctly for Robot mode, but all in all, he's stunning to look at.

Try pulling the cheetah head off the peg and pushing the interchangeable eye piece all the way in. I thought the eyes on mine had the same issue, until I realized the eye piece wasn't rotated/pushed all the way in.

So I've just spent a good two hours or so playing around with Cheetor and I'm seriously blown away. Posing him with Primal already has me feeling spoilt so I don't know how I'm gonna cope when Dinobot joins the crew. My whole perception of reality is likely to implode! Tigatron also needs to get over here asap! But I digress; there were so many moments during the first transformation that had me in awe. It's just so clever. I spent at least 30 minutes transforming him, taking plenty of time to soak it all in (and to be super careful just in case) but now I have a decent understanding of how he goes together so I'm more confident in handling him. Beast mode is bigger than I expected and so expressive. Those extra heads are fantastic and the front legs move just like on the show and bot mode is just bloody perfection. I love love love the blue and gold. This guy makes Primal look even better just by being in close proximity.

Now, I understand pretty much all of the complaints, however, I don't get what's so hard to understand about these instructions (except for all the Japanese...) It's literally a step by step demonstration with decent diagrams to illustrate the way. I have to assume people are rushing ahead and not focusing on what's happening. I find it best to look at the instructing picture, then the figure and envisage the step I'm about to take to make sure it will align with what the diagram says so I can see that all the pieces will have moved to where they're supposed to be, anticipate how much force will be required and try to spot the safest and most effective way to move the piece and then I do it. Just slow down and things become clearer.

So yes it can be a sketchy transformation, there are tight fragile joints and the paint may not last forever but none of that matters to me when the damn thing looks as good as this. I certainly won't be transforming him often purely because it puts me on edge but as I'm getting a second one that's not an issue. Also, despite these being transformers, that's kind of the thing I care least about. Don't get me wrong; I think transformers are awesome fun but what I'm looking for in the Beast Wars mp line is two show accurate modes with heaps of personality and poseability. How I get from one mode to the other is irrelevant. As long as it's doable I'm happy.

My only complaint is that the faux chest paint on mine is a tad scuffed. It's hardly noticeable but naturally it's all I can see now so I'll check out what my 2nd Cheetor chest looks like and then decide which one will be the robot mode display piece.

Now here's my two favourite pics (just on the phone) from my first play with the new kitty. I'm pretty proud of that first one.

I figure this is probably the best place to ask and get a potential response. I'm wondering if anyone might be willing to sell their stock MP Cheetor face piece? Mine arrived with a small ding on the crown that I just can't seem to get past. HLJ doesn't have replacements parts (or more stock for an exchage)...

Heck, I'd even just trade if the imperfection isn't something that bothers a more reasonable collector than myself...

Alright customs have finished playing with my toys and released them back to USPS so I'll finally have these for the weekend.

USPS will probably attempt delivery tomorrow but I'll be at work so I'll pick them up Saturday. Better that way, drop the wife off at work and then I have the day to play!

I know! I'm quite mesmerised by it actually. Just shows how well TT nailed the likeness.
I think with most photos we see online using an amazing camera and loads of lighting to really maximise every minute detail of the figure, it exposes all the toy-ness but if you step back, unfocus your eye a little, maybe catch Cheetor's reflection in a greasy pan, it's hard to tell him apart from the show model. Brilliant job, TT.
