Big issue globally. As for that one, I preordered it online. As I do most transformers these days simply because of random availability. Sometimes something pops up in stores like 3 months late at random... Like Hasbro just sent a box to retailers with leftovers or something. No clue what is going on.
In the past it was much better. Combiner wars wave 1 and 3 were ok the rest was a mess.
But yes Triggerhappy is 1 of the best ones out there. It rivals CW Deadend. Which mechanics are still used like with Chromedome. I believe Triggerhappy as a design skeleton will have a lot of use for other characters. Including Cyclonus.
These 2 look great and the transformation is fun to do.

I fear the Transformers movie. Because of production for toys. Like we will probably get delays or just smaller amounts released of generation toys to make room for movie production/transportation.
At the moment for Europe there is delays in the last wave, with megatron being out 3 months late. Sixshot was also late. Only the smaller toys were oddly early. That is like right up to the next wave which should come out next month.

I think they could have saved money making misfire from topspin, but its nice he's not akwardly larger than the other two as topspin seems to be a larger deluxe mold.

Misfire's alt-mode is amazing. Why the pink head, though? I have the G1 toy, and its head is not pink.

    Slugslinger is perfection.

I'm thinking they wanted to economize on the pink plastic. Also, because it irritates so many fans! :lol  I'm sure Takara will get it right - so one has to wonder if Hasbro just does what's cheap, knowing they're sending Takara some business down the line.

Wow, these guys look AMAZING. I love the way Misfire's back is like the G1 toon model.

I'm not a fan of Misfire's pink head, but to me his robot mode looks like a hand-painted prototype, so I'm not going to worry about it until we actually see the completed figure.

Wish Misfire had a black helmet..luckily painting something black is the easiest mod to do. Both look cool!

You'd think. I'm terrible with customizing, so I'd rather get a back helmet if possible.

This thread came up before NYC Toyfair and, despite some scepticism from some quarters, proved to be pretty spot on. If it is right then we're unlikely to get Slugslinger in wave 5.

Like everyone's pointing out, my main criticism is Misfire's head colour. I'm sure Takara will paint it correctly (if this indeed the final version). I'm just REALLY going to hope for a third party to make a more IDW inspired head (along with some other headmasters who could really use the 3rd party treatment). To be honest aside from my preferred IDW aesthetics, I'd say Misfire is pretty much perfect aside from the head.

Really loving Slugslinger too! For some reason I thought his head was pointier, but went to look at some screencaps of the eps he was in plus the toy and I'd say it's rather accurate. Guess Takara might give him a release in colours closer to the cartoon? I realize his main two cockpits are fake, but I kind of love that he actually has yet another one added on him. XD

I'm amazed we're seeing these two at all. It's been ages since Hasbro looked back in their catalog to do more than just reminisce and laugh. :rolleyes2

If I had a say, I'd forbid Hasbro from making any more Optimus or BB toys for the next 5 years. Oh yeah, you'd miss them... but just imagine who else might get a toy if not for those two. :mad  Then, in 5 yrs time, you'd be REALLY excited to see the holy trinity again (plus, I know collectors love seeing their toys values skyrocket, and limiting the popular characters would do that).

I really like them both, though I do hope Misfire\'s head is grey or black on the finished product.

I like them. As for Misfire's head I might see if I can find another TR head to stick on him. Slugslinger looks great.

Nobody even thought about that these might be leaked prototypes, explaining the pink on Misfire? Why else would he have two different shades of pink plastic? I am sure that will be black on the final product.
They look pretty awesome for retools - new chests, arms, cockpits... only the legs are the same. And I like Slugslinger's two-piece gun, reminds me of his targetmaster

Where have you been in the last 5 years? Asleep under a rock? Or you missed all the obscure G1 characters like Scoop or Trailbreaker or Roadbuster Hasbro has been giving us, even before they started Combiner Wars?
I am sure we will have plenty BBs and OPs in the TF5 line, but the Titans Return line concentrates on 1987-1988 characters and beyond. I have a suspicion (especially with Optimus Primal winning the vote) that Power of the Primes will have beastformers and pretenders next.

I agree the pink head colour is probably just a prototype manufacturing error.

The two head molds/designs- never realised the two characters toy heads differed so much from their fiction appearances.

Is this a Nightbeat/Siren headswap type of error? In which case on these Titans Returns toys, given that they got the colour wrong- is it possible they got the molds wrong? I.e. Slugslinger has Misfire's head in blue, and Misfire has Slugslingers head in pink?
