I downloaded the Snipperclips demo for my nephews. They really enjoyed playing it. So much that they ran threw the demo a few more times after. I guess I'll have to drop $20 on it for them.

I haven't gotten around to downloading the Japanese demos yet.

Played some Zelda. I don't like the run and jump buttons being opposite from each other. You can change the buttons, but one would still be on top and the other on the bottom.

I've spent a collective 5 hours playing BoTW and here are my thoughts on the game and the Switch in general.
-I spent a solid 10 or so minutes just clicking/unclicking the Joycons from the console. It's that fun.
-Hearing that iconic noise from the trailers when attaching the joycons is icing on the cake.
-BoTW has been STUNNING so far, even though I've gotten at least 20 game overs.
-I love the new abilities Link gets. Messing with the physics in the game is something I spent way too much time on.
-1-2-Switch looks legitimately fun. I'll have to get it eventually.
    -I'm eagerly anticipating Splatoon 2
-The news was right. The cartridges taste terrible... because I totally didn't try and see for myself.

What about being somewhere away from the dock (ex: your bedroom, friends house, overseas flight with an external battery pack)?

Can anyone tell me how to fix a "DNS cannot be resolved" error? I've been dealing with this since yesterday (meaning I still haven't been able to do the day one update), and I have no idea what's causing it or how to fix it.

A friend wanted to gift herself with a Nintendo switch something something breath of the wild collector's edition something. It was cancelled a few days ago. Because Nintendo did not deliver enough. So now she's spending the money rather on clothes, because she wanted to get the switch only for zelda anyway. And I got her the amiibos for her birthday :(

Anyone who is having trouble getting their Switch to connect to Wifi should check their network's security type. Apparently one type isn't supported. I think it was TPIK. I had to change mine's security type to get type Switch to connect.

Actually managed to snag a Switch along with Zelda and the Pro Controller, totalling around $400. No regrets. :lol  Some thoughts:

-The Switch cartridges are TINY. Seriously, they're no bigger than my thumb. How they're able to print the whole name of the game on there is nothing short of amazing. Gotta love how as mobile tech gets better, it actually just gets smaller.
-Echoing ACMagnus's words, the noise that happens when you slide the Joy-Cons into the console IS fun. I actually had fun myself taking out the Joy-Cons and putting them back in.
-This is the first Zelda game I've actually put time into since Ocarina of Time (no pun intended). I can already see why some people are giving this game rave reviews; it's definitely going to take me a while to beat it, what with how huge the world is.
-The Pro Controller is PERFECTION. This is what the Wii U Pro Controller should have been from the start. I know that the clicky ZL/ZR trigger buttons aren't everyone's cup of tea, but for someone who's been used to the N64 Z-button and Wii Remote B-button, it doesn't bother me in the slightest. THIS is how I play my games, and I'm happy that Nintendo's letting me do it without a Gamepad as an unnecessary anchor that needs to be used in certain games (especially since Arms is coming out with Pro Controller support for it, too). I can just put the Switch in the dock, Joy-Cons attached, and I can use the Pro Controller as my main controller. Thank you, Big N.
-I haven't really had any difficulties with the Joy-Cons whenever I wanted to use them without being attached to the console or the Joy-Con Grip. They work fine for me. Knock on wood, I guess.
-For anyone complaining about wanting to play the console in tabletop mode while it's charging, give third-party companies time, they'll make something.
-Still miffed that there are no Virtual Console games. Nintendo hasn't really said anything regarding how or if we can transfer our VC purchases over from the Wii U and 3DS, and that has me worried.
-I was really hoping that Nintendo would ditch Friend Codes, but alas. Not a big deal for me.

Overall, this console holds a lot of promise for me. Can't wait for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2.

I figured that out a while ago. That's what was preventing me from connecting to my router. Now I can connect my Switch to it, but I can't connect to the internet.

Just had an hour (literally) fly by playing BOTW on an airplane. This thing is awesome.

One complaint- anyone else think the max headphone volume is a little low? I had to have it pegged, and that's with in ear noise isolating earbuds.

Welp, Got my Switch. Yesterday, I called them and let them know I have a preorder and told them my name. But they said they don't have me on file. So today, I gave them the receipt and told them everything and they brought one out for me. However, they told me I needed a screen protector, what's that about? But I didn't buy any games. All I got extra was the Red and Blue Controllers. I'm just going to hold on to it until I decide what to do with it.

    What's the demand on these?

Because when I was in line for mine, some other guy said their won't be anymore for a few months. And I've been watching videos of people rant about not getting one.

Plus, I was lucky because they mentioned for all preorders everyone had 48 hours to pick up their's or it will go back on the shelf and their deposits get refunded.

Edit: I don't know if it's real or fake, but I found a video on youtube of someone who won a Switch, in a Claw game... On the First try.

I ended up with a Switch almost at random. I was going to wait until fall, but I ended up needing to stop someplace and walked into Walmart right when they were putting their last unit out. Walked out with a Switch, a copy of Zelda, and the realization that I'm gonna be eating ramen for the next few months. :p

I haven't tried docked mode yet because it makes for a pretty great handheld. The only problem I have is that the kickstand doesn't work, and I can live with that. Zelda is amazing. I haven't actually made much progress in the story because I keep wanting to climb all the trees and mountains on the plateau.

So if you look online you might see that Amazon screwed over thousands of people. Despite actually putting some up for sale on launch day, they didn't acknowledge thousands of preorders. Tons of people, including myself, were charged, and had the shipping status as "Preparing to ship" with an expected arrival of 8 PM Friday. Well of course it came and went. Basically you and call Amazon so they would acknowledge your order only for them to tell you that they don't know what happened and now shipping is delayed. To add to the weirdness of the situation, I had Zelda ordered on a completely different preorder than the system and that is having the same delay of shipping issue despite the game being in stock.

So, I have no idea when I will have mine.

So, got my Switch (along with Zelda) yesterday and have been playing it almost non-stop. I won't bother repeating all the positives people have already brought up, as I LOVE the system so far. But, there are a few niggling issues that keep it from being a proper homerun IMO.

The WiFi. It connected to my home network just fine when I unboxed and did the first time setup in the livingroom. But once I got it upstairs to where my gaming setup is, it became clear just how bad the antenna really is. Barely picked up the router's signal and I had to buy a WiFi extender. This despite all other wireless devices showing full strength in the same room.

I am having some slight issues with the joycons losing sync with the console. Not bad enough to be a dealbreaker, but occurring just often enough to be slightly annoying. Oddly it seems to be happening more with the right joycon and not the left one.

And finally, my right joycon just cannot seem to hold a charge. I'm not sure if it's related to the above sync issue, but it drops to red in no time at all.

As happy as I am to have the system in hand, I can't help but think it really could've used a few more months in the oven. It's good. It's so, so good. But that only makes these issues so much more annoying, IMO.

I don't know. Even though I did get the Red and Blue Controllers separate, I still feel jealous I didn't get the one with the Red and Blue Controllers.

If I decide to play with mine, it's going to be hard convincing the family I got a new System. I hope the games I tell them the Switch have will convince them. My mom likes any game that she can swing her arm (1 2 Switch Table Tennis), my Dad use to love Bomberman and we use to all play with Tetris.
