If it helps... think of it as the universe giving us BW fans (and I'm a G1 and BW fan) a gift for the anniversary. :)

Let me clarify then what I meant was that the thread hasn't been as active as when the contest was running ever since it finished, I wasn't trying be an asshole I hope you realize. What does beast wars saving the franchise do anything with my comments? As well beast wars fans growing up had to give primals chances of winning a higher chance with more people growing up and eventually becoming part of the fandom. Also honestly I did feel primal would win but I hoped star saber would of but unsuprisingly it wasn't the case. Although I'm not asking hasbro do g1 optimus prime and megatron figures over and over and over again so stop acting like my comment was. I'm not saying verno can't celebrate his victory but when you keep reminding people over and over, but you keep bothering people about when they've gotten over it yet he can't does come off as cocky

Yeah I'll give you that, I did love Thrilling 30s for the fact it wasn't focused on one series heck I even have generations waspinator and ratrap though still need generations rhinox regardless of what the likelyness of beast wars and g1 characters all getting updates soon is not going to happen anytime soon regardless of the series

    Well Motormouth was feelingrighteouslyyentltitledlastweek :lol
    Maybe its spreading :p
Really i think as long as were not demanding leader class bumblebees and sunstreakers to go with our leaderclass megatron and seekers none of us are have to worry about that nonsense.

Meanwhile i'm overjoyed we're getting Weirdwolfs and Triggerhappy's and all kind of post 86 Cybertronian and beast altmode guys, looking forward to MP BW Megatron and Blackatachnia someday, hoping for voyagers Apeface and Snapdragon and the rest of the Targetmasters in future TR waves and boxsets.
And i'm thinking: relax dudes. Every character WILL get a generations style figure sooner or later, cause guess what: Has/Tak knows there is a market for all of them and they make them money.
So why are we fighting like raptorchicks in a nest ?
There is enough for everyone. We just need some patience.

You said Hasbro should make G1 characters their focus. I was simply pointing out that the last time the focused on generally the same characters over and over the brand was tarnished. I never mentioned that you wanted figures of Optimus Prime or Megatron over and over, in fact I never even remotely implied that. I said G1 characters, which covers a lot more than those two.

I'm just using your post a jumping off point for my thoughts (I'm not exactly directing you specifically). What occurs to me, and its a pretty obvious point, is that Hasbro and Takara have generally been very successful when they reboot the franchise. It's a scary option because, obviously, you don't know how it will get received but the track record has been very good. And it really seems to breath in new fans and new ideas into the franchise. It happened with Beast Wars, it happened with RiD 2001, it happened with Armada and Animated. Maybe some of the sequel series did not get as much attention or love from fans (Energon, Beast Machines) but overall a lot of these reboots are held in high regard by large portions of the fandom. So... that's my obvious point. Lol. Keep it up HasTak! We love Generations and I may or may not ignore your cartoon reboots, but that doesn't mean as a fan that I think they are a bad idea.

I agree here. I'm not strictly saying "Hey, go back to Beast Wars, it did good back then." I love Beast Wars, and want to see more of the characters but...

Just doing more of the same breeds stagnation and eventual fatigue from fans. I want to see more new characters. I want to see the story of the Transformers move forward.

Never said Star Saber had plenty of toys. I was discussing the fact that G1 tends to give us more of the same, more specifically Hasbro. Obviously Takara went in a different direction.

I'm an optimistic person, excited about the future and the possibilities it holds. In 2013/14, it seemed like the Generations line had finally hit its stride. The toys that were being produced were wonderful updates of the originals, and Beast Wars fans were treated with three absolute beauties. The future seemed bright.

The subsequent years have been testing. What seemed like a logical progression -- more Beast Wars updates interspersed in amongst figures from other eras -- got less and less likely, and the prospect of more toys got further and further away. I held great hope for the 20th Anniversary, but was left disappointed. I held great hope for the 3rd line in the Prime Wars trilogy, but when the name was announced, once again I was left downhearted.

But then the vote was announced.

You can't blame Beast Wars fans for being excited. The hope of 2013/14 might finally be coming back. We might see some more updates. But Beast Wars doesn't stand in the way of other series' and characters getting updates. 2013/14 demonstrated that a line could have a mix of eras, and please a lot of people all at once. I want to see a new Deathsaurus. I want to see a new Star Saber. I want to see new Dinobots and Predacons. And I want to see Beast Wars along side them. I want to join in with the excitement. I want to be able to walk into a toy store and buy a toy off a shelf. I haven't been able to do that since 1999.

2013/14 demonstrated that a mix is possible. Comments that Beast Wars fans should just wait for G1 to be done are infuriating when we've seen a coexistence of series' in the one line work previously. Sure, it doesn't conform to a line-wide gimmick, but there is so much momentum behind the Generations line (and Transformers in generally as this is a Movie year) that a line-wide gimmick wouldn't even need to exist and the toys would still sell.

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on MP Cheetor in the next week or two. I'm looking forward to news on MP Dinobot. And I've got one eye on the horizon, on 2018, when we all might have a lot to be excited about, together.

Obviously Generations have immensely been focused on G1 and ignoring everything else. BUT its not like Generations has only been focusing on the same G1 characters. In 2015 we got real updates to combiners and last year we got real updates to Headmaster characters. We're getting Masterforce updates now! That's pretty amazing in my opinion. I'm not saying that Beast fans or fans of other lines shouldn't be inpatient, I just want to point out its not the same core G1 characters. We're getting some really cool but ignored G1 characters updated. And that trend really looks like its going to continue.

I'm optimistic that other lines will get their updates, albeit slowly. I know I might get "teased" for saying this but I actually have a lot of trust in Hasbro and Takara. I know Hasbro is just here to make money BUT for a big American toy company they sure do like to give us fan-oriented stuff (albeit with the typical compromises but its still something).

I agree with both Verno and Magnus here. Bring on the sprawling Generations line with representation of multiple G1 (and G1-ish) eras and lines, BW, Masterforce, Victory, Micromaster and Pretenders included! Right now, that actually (finally) seems worth hoping for... and even reasonable, since surely movie toys will get mixed in too shortly, meaning multiple themes and styles coexisting on shelves...

    ...I hope.

I'm really hoping there's no line-wide gimmick for POTP. Forced gimmicks lead to compromises that don't need to be made.

Like poor Galvatron and his helmet.

It's really funny, actually. @Verno does these images in jest and obviously in good natured fun. Then @G1StarSaber468 replies, usually angry, and makes a heated comment about what Verno posted usually criticizing him. Or you know, he could just ignore him or take it for what it is, a joke. Definitely implies there are some very hard feelings about someone's preferred character not winning.

Indeed. I can assure you, @G1StarSaber468, that had Star Saber won, I'd have done the reverse of this gag, with Primal unhappy face and Star Saber's name on the card.

Galvatron really needed an better helmet honestly an power of the primes inactually I thought it was going to pretenders before the title reveal, but now I'm not sure at all it could be and either way the figures may suffer from the gimmick in some way
