I was gonna do that, but then TCP has theirs for $299.99 and free shipping. I went with TCP instead of BBTS....who never offers free shipping I just have to wait for their restock.
I still can't take my Legendary Voltron arms off. Anyone else still having problems. I've looked up tutorials, and everything. Even brute strength won't do. Plus it feels like the ratchet in my Red lion's joint has softened up as it falls with the slightest touch now. Very frustrating.
Even when I knew how to remove the arms the Green Lion was still super hard to remove. After a few times it got easier but Playmates really effed up in the QC department as it should be relatively easy as child to remove the arms and not have extreme difficulty for an adult. Nowadays I just leave the lions as lions as it's just not worth the trouble of detaching the arm.
Thats what happened to my red lion. This is why i try to fix the floppy joints and it screwed me up completely so that i went out of my way to get it off ebay. So broke
This is such a pain. Looks good as a brick but if you start playing with LG voltron, his rachets become floppy and so will the rest. Sigh, i can really see why I should have thought many times to stop buying into their products. BUT cos the show is so good in netflix i got suckered to buying.
Trust me LG voltron is big and beefy but not worth of picking up. I got SOC voltron he is so nice more then words could say. I dont regret of buying him at a high price. BUT This retarted big goof of a bot here, he is a floppy mess and requires alot of fixing up which i dont have the time figuring out what he needs and how i can acheive it. I was lucky to give his head articulation. Now there is his elbow and ankle issue.
I don't regret picking up the Legendary Lions because enjoy how the individual lions came out. But if you want a Voltron Legendary Defender that will spend its life as Voltron pick up the 14" version instead and save yourself $60 and a lot of frustration.
Another Voltron Ex review. A pretty fair assessment of the figure minus no review of the lions in lion mode.
I'm actually debating that.... But for me...it wouldn't be a Voltron toy if I couldn't separate them and then combine them again
I think the LD toys look better as lions vs forming Voltron. That is 1 of the many reasons why I kept all of my guys in their boxes respectively.
Eventually I think I'll get the Legendary lions for the lion modes and the Ultimate Voltron for combined mode
I have had the LD combiners for several weeks with no noticeable wear. It is indeed difficult to remove the arms, but the ratchets integrity has held through both me and my kids playing with him. It might be a case by case situation.
BBTS changed their SOC Voltron from $299.99 to $329.99. Shipping to Hawaii is another $34. I sent them an email asking if I could get the old price.
I would be amazed if they did. And that's not a slam against them I just can't imagine any company offering a lower price for no reason but it certainly never hurts to ask.
True. His individual lion mode is fun to play with. Its the playability that wears down if you going to combine him. You probably right just to get 14 inch voltron but wheres the fun in that just having him not able to transform. Just an issue I have with 14 inch his leg doesnt go all the way up, so he cant crouch . And His green lion's head doesnt move. But aesthetically he is nicer to look at and his proportion is there just like the cartoon show
With all this talk of price increases, I'm just going to put some feelers out there and see what interest there is in a slightly used GX-71. I really do love the toy, but working abroad and being in a decidedly temporary living situation, I don't really have anywhere to display it and I figure it's better for it to find a good home rather than staying boxed up in my closet.
