Fair points. I'm not planning on getting this guy. I had powermaster op as a kid and liked him well enough but my current collection aspiration is pretty much s1, some s2, and a smattering of s3. Just the characters I get the most nostalgia for. But if I were planning on getting him, the fake truck wouldn't be a deal breaker. It just puzzled me is all.

I love it: it's enough of a departure from the traditional Optimus design that I can truly imagine it it as Ginrai.

This might end up being my first third-party purchase (and I have no intention of getting either the Takara or Hasbro figures themselves).

 

Looks great so far. I just hope they keep his blue forearms. It's the thing that sets him apart from most Optimi.

 

That's my plan. Should work fine, color matching aside.

I really like this dude, but I can only have him as a stand alone, really need to see him next to a deluxe.

 

I don't see a reason why it shouldn't.

It just occurred to me that by keeping the original head from the base figure (which I assume is going to be compatible with PC16), adding PC15 you could double up on head/ powermasters. Slap on a targetmaster and he's ready for some proper murderin'

The more I exam the figure the more I'm starting to worry about the extended chest. I hope it won't interfere with the God bomber attachment. Still, it's a mighty fine addition to Ginrai.
