So Takara's not going to paint their movie toys this time around?

I mean the Berserker has some additional paint compared to the Hasbro one but it still looks a bit weak. Bumblebee and Prime seem to have no additional paint whatsoever, but the Prime is an exclusive so maybe they'll do a properly painted one later on.

And we'll have to wait at least two months before we can even think about seeing Legends figures again... crap.

 

Those are awful. The paint choices are horrible. Way to ruin a good AOE mold with the crappy coat of paint Bumblebee is getting.

 

No interest in the Speed Changers, but I think the Berserker looks pretty cool. I like the mid-transformation shot.

Bumblebee looks crap, and I'll wait for that Optimus to get a legit release sometime down the road.

Oh yeah, and AU sucks. No interest in those.

 

They gave a whole page to an old bumblebee instead of the brand new voyager prime. :s

 

Love those phone transformers.

Yep, it's official...That Bumblebee is the WORST Bee Mold to date.

 

That garbage Bumblebee sure seems to be featured a lot. There's a much better one later in the line, why does this even exist?

Beserker still looks like the best of the first wave tho.

 

What are those? Transforming but real and working mobile phones?

 

am I only one that accutally dosen\'t care what bumblebee looks like and will still get him anyways?

 

Hopefully. Buying toys just because they exist is bad for your wallet and everybody else.

 

Perhaps Takara is simply saving money to put paint on better toys, line the Legends line?  Do the bare minimum for the film line (as the type of mass-market, ignorant sheeple the world over, buying film toys, doesn\'t care how much paint is on a figure), and then use the profits and saved revenue for the \"proper\" TFs...

 

If so, then I\'m all for it!

I don't think so... it's just the shitty paint and plastic color choice. If it's properly painted, he actually looks pretty good. Look at this custom by our board's own Cheetimus, for example.



But then he does have that huge cluster of kibble on his backside, but then that's moreso the design's fault for barely having any kibble on it itself. The only external vehicle parts I could find on him are his rear wheels, his rims, his Chevrolet emblem, and... twice as many headlights as he's supposed to have on his chest and shoulders.

Honestly, from a toy design perspective, I'm glad they went back to his old design. The new deluxe already looks like really good.

 

Literally why? of this mold you have several better painted versions of it from the aoe line, and if you want a actually accurate version of TLK Bumblebee, the other deluxe fills that role.
