Ok, so we have... Circus Strongman with new Barbell piece. Miami Vice inspired dude with massive Cellphone piece. Pastry Chef with Whisk and Pie. Female Elf Warrior (FINALLY) Corncob Man. Another Dwarf with Mohawk in red. Jazzercise Lady. Fast Food Diner Employee with Tray, Hot Dog on a bun and Soda. Veterinarian with Bunny. Butterfly Girl? Rocket Costume Boy. FLASH, SAVIOR OF THE UNIVERSE inspired 50's Cheezie Space Villain. Trident toting Warrior of some sort, possibly another Greek Barbarian. French Dude with new Dog and Baguette. And blanked out Mystery Character for #16??? This isn't another Mr. Gold situation is it? Series 17 looks to be rather... repetitive. Series 2 gave us a Weightlifter back in the day, now we've got one that would fit in great for Circus fans. The female Elf is sorely late to the party since her male counterpart was in Series 3, but I'm not going to complain, and want six of her probably because YAY Elf. The costumed folks are beginning to get a little out there, but help populate Halloween MOCs/displays and add some interesting new pieces to the pile. And the new hair pieces are pretty spiffy looking too, love the Jazzercise lady, or Workout lady or whatever you want to call her, and it's nice to see more of the Squishy containers from The Simpsons for different purposes with Hot Dog Vendor dude. Judging by the silhouette though I'm curious to know who number 16 is, will it be female or male? Considering they usually have five females and I believe we've seen all five of them I suspect some guy there. And considering the shape I'm wondering if we're getting Walking Billboard Street Corner Dude?
I really love this series! I'll definitely be getting several of that female Elf, and the 50s sci-fi spaceman is unexpected, but really welcome! I can add him to my planned space diner! I'm loving the Pirates set too. I know it's different from a traditional ship, but I really like that! I have two normal ships already: my fleet could use a ghost ship. EDIT: New Star Wars set images: New York Toy Fair 2017 : Les nouveautés Star Wars du second semestre - Hoth Bricks I'm definitely going to have to get at least two of that First Order battle pack (to supplement my pair of the first set). I love that it has the riot trooper gear!
Is there always a mystery figure? Or is it just revealed closer to release? I don't recall any mystery figures.
Mmmm I don't recall them doing a mystery figure. It was usually an all or nothing reveal. Hmmm nothing of interest really other then that Super Hero Girl Harley Quinn set.
Hopefully the Lego store has all the new Star Wars sets, so I can get another Disco Batman and Clown Batman.
the mystery figure looks like it has the pig head?? the rocket is great, but not really feeling anything from this series
I’ve seen pictures of both Spider-Man Homecoming set. The Vulture’s wings are huge! LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man: Homecoming Sets Revealed And speaking of Spider-Man, I think the only Marvel MCU set I’m missing at the moment is the fourth Civil War one. I think I might pick this set up to go with my Transporter and Snowspeeder sets.
My thoughts on Toy Fair reveals so far is... I don't have nearly enough money for all the awesome pouring out of LEGO damn it. They've done some really great jobs with their Themes and their Licensed Properties. Also, it's about damn time they made a new Spider element, those LEGO City Jungle themed sets are great because we're getting some nifty animals, and new spiders that look suitably creepy and not as old-school 90's as the original Element which has been in use since the days of Johnny Thunder and Adventurers. Now if they could just include some of the Indiana Jones large Ant figures in another Ant-Man inspired set or something so I can finally pick some up that'd be very much appreciated. And holy fuck, I never thought we'd get a Buildable Scout Trooper WITH Speeder Bike in their Buildable Star Wars range. I'm tempted to get that one to see if my CHI Chima characters can sit on the Speeder Bike for some fun cross-universal display elements. But it'll probably be as expensive as Grievous was considering the parts count. I'm enjoying the appearance of new pieces in the Disney Princess inspired line as well, specifically the new lower torsos with wider dresses found on Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother and the new lower torso being used for Mini-Doll Ursula. I think I'll be picking up a large number of older sets to catch up with the Theme during Double-VIP Points month. Star Wars has done a pretty decent job with some of their updates of past sets this year, but Damnit, why did they spoil the entire contents of the Advent Calendar at Toy Fair? That made no sense for me and Santa BB-8 doesn't seem nearly as impressive as past offerings. I've got my new list of wants from the big reveals and will be starting the process of saving up for some pretty decent sets come the summer.
Sooo glad i didn't pick up the other FO battle pack now. This one puts it to shame. Loving the bounty hunter battle pack too. Mixed feelings on the other SW sets(Rathtar, Vader transformation, etc.), but at least the Spiderman sets are looking good.
I was really surprised to see Yoda's starfighter from Season 6 of Clone Wars. If I had known it would come out I would've gotten the others' ships as well to have the set, but oh well. Also, the new Anakin to Darth Vader set is very similar to the one from 2006! Very happy to see that, and I will be getting it and the Bounty Hunter pack for sure.
While I don't want any of these sets as a whole, I really need one of those panthers, a leopard, one of those CMF Miami Vice mini-figs with the giant mobile phone as well as that old-school Sci-Fi guy with the ray gun... Lol
Somebody feel free to direct me to them if I missed them, but did Lego show off any sets for the Ninjago movie? I wasn't ever a fan of the series, but those giant machines and mechs in the trailer look too awesome to skip out on. Even if they make tinier, neutered versions like they did with Emmett's construction mech, I'd love to get my hands on all six of those designs.
