I found the first book to be meandering.. and the ending was kinda.. "Wha?" but it was an okay afternoon of reading. So I'll read this one.

It's been a year since the horrific events at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, and Charlie is just trying to move on. Even with the excitement of a new school and a fresh start, she's still haunted by nightmares of a masked murderer and four gruesome animatronic puppets. Charlie thinks her ordeal is over, but when a series of bodies are discovered near her school-bearing wounds that are disturbingly familiar-she finds herself drawn back into the world of her father's frightening creations. Something twisted is hunting Charlie, and this time if it finds her, it's not letting her go.

Interesting. Wish we had one of those for Nazi Zombies.

Sounds like something that I'll be interested in. I wonder if this is going to be a lore thing or a strategy guide?

The Twisted Ones being a sequel disappoints me. I was hoping for an anthology format for the series similar to how the games seem to have mostly new protagonists. That, and The Silver Eyes kind of killed any suspense in regards to these characters.

So anyone else noticing a disturbing amount of kids 4-8 into these games lately?

It's been like that from the start. Kids who are FAR too young to be into something about murder, death, ghosts and possession is nothing new.

Though ironically their fanart is insanely accurate to the kids' drawings pinned up in some of the games.

Kids are edgy nowadays, they play M-rated games and do drugs.

Kids have been playing games too mature for them since the inception of such games.

I don't know how these kids handle Five Nights at Freddy's games myself. Maybe they don't have a sense of suspense here, aren't bothered by eerie looking animatronics or something. To be honest, I think I had a hard time being affected by such things until I got older — no, that doesn't mean that I think kids should be exposed to this kind of thing. There's no telling what it does to them, but I do see illegible rants on YouTube... At this point in time, I played the first game again and was handily spooked. It's a good game.

And to be honest if a general audience kid is playing it, they're not gonna really know or care about the hidden life with the murderer and the ghosts and all. Naturally, kids these days have access to all the lore and fandom and theories online, but I certainly would never have gotten any of the plot were it not for the Internet.

Just reading the TV Tropes page of FNAF 1 gets me paranoid and spooked. Yikes.

I'm not sure if the younger side cares about the lore or plot tbh. They might just see the popularity and want to get in on it.

I kinda did when FNAF became popular, but cared more about the games and story.
