I understand some people if they wanted a WFC Trypt. BUT:

We NEEDED some update for the g1 toy, 30 years have passed away from the original and the fandom always wanted some toy for him with a stunning looking and decent scale, and we have more options (PX) if someone don't like the style.

BUT the fact that some people really say: "an unnecesary toy" sounds to me why every company no matter what it make, the people will complain about the minimum thing.

Wait, that tiny thing? That's like a Legends sized toy, no? Also, it is a partsformer that transforms into... something? I have seen the CGI shots but it does not look like it turns into the Nemesis.

(psst, I don't think Tryps is gonna be a headmaster)

At best it'll be Full-Tilt being the Headmaster figure.

Why diferent?, just because the prototype HAD articulation doesn't means the final toy won't.

One question.  Is it going to be electronic and be able to walk like the G1 version?

I love after sitting through nearly 2 years of "THIS ISN'T WHAT G1 COMBINERS LOOK LIKE!" that suddenly we get Trypticon and everyone freaks out because IT LOOKS LIKE G1!

Honestly I hope not. And it looks like the tail doesn't have wheels which means it'd either drag on the ground or the figure would need to be sturdy enough to hold it up off the ground.

I'm not counting on the latter, so expecting it to not walk. Would rather it just have some decent ratchets in the hips to support a few T-rex poses.

Well, those guys have Takara, who puts fake wheels on MP Ultra Magnus' feet and REMOVES detail from MP Inferno's legs because 'it has to look exactly like a 30 year old cartoon'. Damn it Japan. I miss the era of updated toys in the MP line, like Grimlock or the first Prime and Megatron, who looked like the G1 guys but with more detail and improvements.

This is because people easily forget, or didn't bother to actually view the entire video of that presentation.

It was pretty obvious already, this humongous figure will have ankle tilt and outward hip swivel. But then they forget, time passes by and they see this image of
the rendered figure in a static 'pose' and they think "oh noes, it's literally G1".

Would have been nice to get Scorponok, what with all the love RID & AOE Grimlock has had lately & unlike Trypticon, he's actually a headmaster - but this is a nice update all the same.

Just hate that I'll only be able to afford it if I sell a kidney.

All I can say is; I\'m looking forward to a more cartoon accurate version from Takara... as they did with all the Combiner Wars.

Haven't seen this photo, only the one from the last year SDCC or whatever convention's third party panels. That one did not show a distinct alt mode. Hmm, those aren't the FoC Deluxe seekers though, right? Just the legends sized third party ones?
I do love how the WFC design looks but yeah, it was never planned to transform into anything in the game (we never see him truly transforming). That huge long tail just doesn't go anywhere. I think I prefer the updated G1 look more than the more gorilla-style WFC one.

Not unnecessary at all, and I'll definitely buy it if it's a solid toy, because the look alone is killer. That said, purple mecha-godzilla was never among my favorite G1 designs, and I've been pining for a modern G1 Omega for years (I know about FT's, but I also don't want to pay $500 for it).

But I think HasTak will get around to it eventually.

As far as the griping, that happens with every thread on this board, as does the griping about the griping. I just ignore it for the most part.

Quick. Someone with sixshot take a picture of it next to Metroplex and include this image too, so we can see just how tall he will be.

By the way... funny how my "Stuff we will never get for Straxmus" pic came true eventually! I made this back in 2011, and now we not only have (multiple) Nightmare Moon and Trixie toys, but also Titan Class Trypticon and a Slipstream.
Those Animated toys still are eluding us of course, and Wizkids has severely downscaled Gargantuan sized dragons sadly, but they still might happen.

Those are Planet X's FOC Seekers, which are roughly Voyager-sized iirc. So yeah Apocalypse is pretty damn big.
