anyone know a way to contact BB7/yes model about trying to get replacement parts? Just received a YM-04 Spray and kind of bummed one of the thrusters has a crack running though it. I contacted my retailer, but haven't heard back yet.

 

They will sometimes respond on their official Weibo. At the moment, don't expect a response until after Feb 4th.
Fair warning, to purchase replacement parts, they will refer you to their prefered Taobao retailer.

I finally a few days ago got around to transforming my YM Thundercracker that I got back in December and I was wondering if anyone else has a problem with theirs like I do? My problem is just a small annoyance and nothing much but whenever I try to peg the right wing into place when I am transforming him into robot mode it wants to pop back out. I don't mean that it is loose in the peg hole. But rather it wants to spring back. At first I thought maybe there was some extra plastic in there that shouldn't have been around the hinge on the wing. And I even scraped off a tiny bit with an hobby knife and it still wants to do that. I looked as close as I could to both wings and nothing seems different on the left wing which goes in with ease. All my other BB7/YM, KBB and even TRU Starscream doesn't have the problem with pegging in at all. The only way it will not pop out the second I push it in is for me to hold it on with a ton of force for about 10 seconds or more than slowly let go of it. It is a huge pain in the ass. Was just curious if I am the only one with a problem like that? My KBB Thundercracker has been better than that and and is supposed to be the one with the most problems as far as the 1984 lineup Masterpiece KO Seekers.

 

thats weird. i shaved a bit off my thundercracker and it worked for one of the wings but not the other.
that was to the extent i wanted to mod without the risk of breaking it

 

I think in general the fault could be in two places. In the overall seeker mold design this tab is not long enough. In the YM in particular I think the hinge folding the wing up might be a little too tight and is effectively wants to pull the down/out.

I would say that in general my YM seeker's wing tab in better to the back than any of my Hasbro MP seekers every did. I don't have the YM Thundercracker though.

 

I have the same problem with my YM Thundercracker. I have to use alot of force to force it in. It's strange, because on my YM Skywarp it pegs in just fine.

 

Yeah I can understand that alright. I didn't want to take much off of mine either since I was also worried about damaging it. Never was crazy about doing mods myself with lack of decent fine motor-skills that I have. 

I can see where that could be a problem then. I guess they must have made it a hair thicker because of complaints people had about the Hasbro and TT seekers wings sometimes popping off of there Transformer. That would also explain why I had to pull to the point where I thought it would break in order to get the wing off to try to mod it. 

Yeah same here. Who can figure?  It is like some people on here feared that when they got tons of good publicity for making such as good Skywarp that they got lazy with Thundercracker onward.  Kind of like the problems that people have mentioned on here with Dirge.


Oh well I guess. As far as Thundercracker goes it could be much worse. At least it will still stay pegged in place if you use a good amount of force and hold it there for a few seconds. Just annoying though. Especially compared to there Skywarp.

 

I put a drop of clear nail polish in on the tab, let it dry and it seems to be doing the trick. If there is another sure fire, safe, permanent mod then I may explore it.

That was the extent of the mod I did was shave the tab a bit. It worked for the left one but no matter how much I did for the right one it wouldn't work. I put some nail Polish like you did and it worked. So my fix only.worked on one side and not the other. I'm so sorry I didn't put the fix up. I had the pics ready to go(which was pics of the tabs before after and a comparison of truscreamers tab.) But I had some schoolwork and other things I had to catch up on.

For those that have the KKB Coneheads.
Do they have the toy line/stripes deco in the wings on both the top and bottom?

 

Quick update on bb7 ym thundercracker and Skywarp.

Not sure if it's been posted or shared already, but one of my suppliers indicated that ym have told them they aren't going to be producing more Skywarp or thundercracker figures for the moment while they concentrate on other figures.

Will wait for others to confirm as well, but that's what I've been told. No more rubadubspawn 3P deals on thundercracker and skywarp unfortunately. We are sold out...

 

What a shame. I'll just have to wait and hope they'll produce another run in the future.

 

Oh no, I haven't gotten YM Thundercracker yet. Better get off my butt and get him from TF-Direct...

 

Can somone do me a solid. Can you please post pics of faction symbol placements for dirge and RJ? Thanks I'd greatly appreciate it.
