I could make the same argument about Transformers Animated.  

 

Kill Bulkhead in Toxicity/Hurt.

 

Smokescreen was a huge disappointment. Smokescreen ironically enough is essentially a fusion of Hot Rod and Cheetor, but unlike them didn't have his story become full circle, instead it was abandoned in favor of Bumblebee, you just don't have Optimus Prime and Alpha Trion say Smokescreen should be a Prime then just drop it.

 

For reals

 

Yeah, they should've just given Bumblebee the story arc. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense what they did. Especially the way that Bumblebee's story has continued with him becoming team leader in RID.

 

I know we have had flashbacks and pretty know what happened in the beginning with the start of the war in the Prime timeline and what not, but I would have loved to see a 60-90 minute special fleshing out this period of Cybertronian history showing the early dynamic between Megatronus and Pax, the clash between Unicron and Primus, and the relics, in more detail. Would have been a good teaser between season 1 and 2.

 

I would have liked to see them devote more time to the Bumblebee/Raf relationship. Goodness knows Jack got all sorts of bonding time with Arcee and even Optimus while Miko was practically an honorary Wrecker as far as Bulkhead and Wheeljack were concerned. It would have been nice to see Raf get some time to do more with Bumblebee or Ratchet too.

Also, I do wish they'd taken the MECH-made Cybertronian clone in a different direction from "Nemesis Prime." Given the cool cars they sported and the presence and demise of Breakdown, I was rather hoping Silas was planning to field his own team of Stunticons. Even if we hadn't gotten a proper gestalt out of it, such an arc would have been better than just a single Optimus-Clone.

 

I wish Smokescreen took the Matrix from Optimus Prime.

Yeah, I wish it was just Bumblebee instead since he is now the leader in RID. At the same time, I am curious had Smokescreen become the next prime.

 

I wish they would have given us a glimpse into the first few years of working on fixing Cybertron. I wanted a follow up with the characters and their relationships with the children. I liked how the autobots had feelings and feel connections with the children. I was so sad to see that they weren't even mentioned in RID. Someone help me get over this, it makes me so sad. I wish I knew. Watching Miko and Bulkhead at the end had me in tears.

 

1) Optimus Prime's memory loss. What a wasted opportunity. How cool would it have been to have the Autobots try and teach Optimus what it means to be Prime. The series was named PRIME after all. And with the most boring version of the character, this could have generated some excitement.

2) Repeatedly having characters go through the same arc/lesson multiple times was dumb. Let's see that wisdom put to use!

3) More character development for Bumblebee prior to him becoming the awesomest, most coolest character ever. Seriously, that just came out of left field.

4) Have Wheeljack acknowledge having been an inventor, or at least being a really good makeshift engineer. 'I decided it was more fun to blow up cons instead of myself.'

5) An appearance by Bludgeon leading an undead army.

OK, so that wasn't just 1.....

 

I partially agree with this. Making a clone of Optimus Prime seemed pretty cliche. But I would have loved to see Mech fleshed out more and use what they learned to make vehicles that can convert to another vehicle type instead of a robot and then use that story to give us a MASK spin off TV show.

 

MECH goes on under its new leader, codenamed Miles Mayhem. You know that would actually still be good for a spinoff. They could even transplant Fowler for it.

 

There was an episode in RID where Bumblebee mentioned the kids, I think the episode where Soundwave appeared.

 

Just more characters. If i could change one thing it would be put in 10 bad and 10 good guys.

I have no intrest in nitpicking the hell out the show, it was largely good, enjoyable.

Just feel sad there were not more characters.

 

I wish that Miko had never been annoying. I don't really want to hate any character, but in the first season, she caused the Autobots almost as much trouble as some of the Decepticons did. At least she mellowed out and became an okay character. I just wish she was likable from the beginning.

I kind of wanted to see what Smokescreen potentially becoming a Prime would have lead to.

I wish that Beast Hunters had more than one beast outside of the movie (so many toy characters from that line had no plot significance whatsoever).

While I like what we got of MECH, I wished that we could have gotten more. Silas just killing them after his resurrection quickly ended a plotline that should have had a few loose threads. It was kind of disappointing to see one of Prime's more original ideas just get ended so abruptly.

On a story structure level, I wish that a lot of the episodes were a bit less formulaic. I can describe a pretty big swath of the series by saying "Autobots and Decepticons are in a race to retrieve a newly discovered Cybertronian doodad that just happened to land on Earth."

 

Combiners, Needed combiners

 

I wish the towns and cities didn't look so empty

 

-I would've liked Prime to lose his memory fully so its up to the other characters to help him
-Kinda wanted Smokescreen to become a Prime tbh
-Optimus wasn't such a stern/emotionless character
-Wished Wheeljack could've been a mix of badass and scientist
-They didn't make up some useless ideas that were never put into play. For example, Ratchet once said that if you Ground Bridge anywhere outside of Earth, the vortex of the bridge has a high chance of snapping and sending everyone in random places in space. Yet, two times they were able to TP outside of Earth with no problem

Other than that, I have no other complaints.

 

Autobots with more personality and more emotional voice acting.

Using ideas to their potential rather than dropping them.

 

I wish they had done more with the predicon concept, as opposed to only having one of them show up in the show and one in the movie.
