I bought Giga's Guttur from them a year ago that I thought was previously opened. Everything was there, it just didn't look quite right in the box. I can't say for sure if that was the case or not, but they are rather low on my list of preferred retailers.

 

Thanks for the replies, everyone!   I've ordered from them before and never had an issue, but I haven't been able to get a satisfying answer from them as to why this has happened. I might just end up going with another retailer in the future.

If you are looking for another retailer, go with GCIToys for what you are looking for that they carry. They are fast, great service, and cheaper than the big eTailers.

 

How tight are everyone combiner joints? The one on my Deathclaw straight up will not bend at all. The ratchet is way too tight. Anyone else have him and experience this?

 

As was mentioned within the last few pages, all of the combiner ports are extremely tight. Deathclaw came with one of the fists, and the adapter to attach it. You can plug that into the combiner port to add leverage in order to move the joint. Having tested this myself before jumping in to advise it, I then suggest having fun removing it from the port you inserted it in in order to move it.

 

Just transformed Deathclaw for the first time. My first Poseidon figure and mant that was an unfun transformation. All the ball joints are really tight and the tolerances weren't great. Transforming back was easier and I think it'll be fine once I get more used to it, but I hope the other figures have a smoother, less finicky transformation. The figure sure looks great though. A couple QC issues like some clumsy paint apps and stress marks on the pin for the combiner hand. Overall I'm pleased but a little disappointed. Also, that light piping is super impressive on him.

Also picked up Striker Manus. After trying to transform him and giving up, Deathclaw seems like a breeze.

 

How tall is it?

 

I dont have a ruler but i am pretty sure its about 15-16". I really dont have any third party combiners to compare it to. But i do have the king posieden reissue to get a sense of size.

 

he's that tall looks to be an inch taller than FR and 2-3" shorter than WB

I like them too, though it seems like Deathclaw is missing the ones that should go on his claws. I wonder if Thousandkills will come with them.

That is not the "correct" configuration of Piranacon. Everyone on the board now hates you a little bit.

For now. When you get Deathclaw he goes where we have Mentarazor. You could technically pull the thumb out and move it to the other side of the hand, but that ball joint was pretty tight. Also, when Tentakill comes out he goes where we have Cyberjaw, and Cyberjaw should be the gun.

Least, that's how he was in Masterforce.

 

Thats the thing. I didnt want to pull out the thumb. So i just left him where he was until i get deathclaw and i can't do anything about cyberjaw until tantakil comes. Also i wasnt sure wich piranacon we were discussing.

 

My comment was a joke. There have been several debates in this thread over there being a "correct" configuration of a figure intended now, and 20 years ago, to be entirely swappable. The show was the "correct" configuration, the comic was the "correct" configuration, the package was the "correct" configuration, the instructions were the "correct" configuration. The shark is the only "correct" gun. I was poking fun at the people in the community that take some things way too seriously, like which figures have to be which limbs, or the people that won't even entertain buying the set because the colors don't match the one Piranacon of the the three that they feel is the "correct" one. There are a lot of people missing out on what might be the best third party combiner yet because of really obsessive nitpicky stuff.

 

I agree people take the color and "correct" configuration things way too seriously. I currently have that TFC Poseidon photo as my wallpaper because in spite of the differences from G1, I love this thing as a true Piranacon.
