I know I'm nit picking but I wish it had a wrist tilt. It adds a lot of posing options when you can tilt the hand facing up or down.

It cant be that hard to engineer either so i dont know why they would go to the effort of making fully posable hands/fingers but not wrist.

I think there is some minor tilt in the wrist; the videos I have seen show that it's on a platform that rocks up and down. Not the same as a full tilt obviously, but you have an option.

Any update on your shipping IG? I placed an order as well but haven't received any confirmation from TCP.

i agree. having a joint like toyworld devastator's combiner wrist would add to his hands' expressiveness.

was informed by TCP that their shipment was delayed until Wednesday (today). as much as i was going to keep my preorder, i just decided to cancel. having ultimetal prime and hot toys prime, i don't think i have room for a 3rd nontransforming prime. i'm in the process of selling my ultimetal, so maybe once that happens i'll revisit this guy to fill that void.

i just got this guy. holy crap. He shot up to the top of my collection. I haven't stopped smiling since I opened him up. The downside is now, I don't know if I can top this feeling with any other MPs. I want, no at this point need, MAS-02 in my life.

i got mine from @ToyDojo . I PO'd him a while back, though. Looks like they are out of stock, but it may help if you PM Eddie on the boards. Originally they were out of stock when I was looking, too, but he was able to secure me one anyways. Great dude to purchase stuff from.

having so much fun with this guy. Here are some size comparisons. Look at how big he is compared to MP Bee. ROFL....

also, for those gun nuts, pretty sure he could wield my Springfield if his hands were just a bit bigger.

Fantastic review Michael! Absolutely love all the clips, the writing, and the editing. Can't imagine how long it took to put it all together. I'm so pumped to get mine, it's on route. Hopefully Megatron is next!

I seriously want a whole 1:18th scale G1 collection of these.

FINALLY! A comparison with some JOEs! Thank you! They look outstanding together.

Great review. I wasn't sure about the shade of red on this guy, but seeing him next to the other Primes, I think I actually prefer the muted one. I know it doesn't make much sense, but it looks less toy like.

Dude - those are my pics you posted! Thanks for saving me the hassle.

Also here are the comments I posted n the Optimus Prime Collectors Group on FB after first opening him:
Quick thoughts: much paler red than I hoped/expected... it almost borders on pink hues which is a little disappointing. He's very light weight for his size. When moving his joints they are very loud and click a lot and to be honest he feels very fragile to move so I'm a little scared to try and pose him too much as he feels like the plastic might break. The QA is somewhat disappointing... you'll notice my Optimus has a crooked neck - it was very stiff and took a lot of jiggling to get it moving so it could be positioned properly. There are some plastic streaks on his legs too which I was hoping a figure at this price wouldn't have. To get him off his plastic bubble was a chore. The anti-theft on him is insane... and I can't help wondering why it needs so much wire and tape when you couldn't possibly sneak him out of a store unnoticed. His gun is huge (think the size of classics Megatron but not as chunky)... so much so my son can play with it like a regular toy gun yet the matrix is really small ... MP size which makes his scale a bit strange. Overall he's a nice display piece - not as playable as I had hoped and no where near as nice as Ultimetal but if you want a cheap big chunky Prime then he is worth consideration.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it so much & very nice of you to say. :D

For those worrying he has the same floppiness as other giant figures due to the weight, I've attached a pic showing how sturdy he is. I was even spinning him around on the turntable and there was no danger of him falling over.
