Yeah, unfortunately not Deluxe size.

I find the "new" Legends size to be too small for the minibots to really look good next to Deluxe figures. The upscaled versions feel right to me. They're shorter than the Deluxes, but still seem like they belong on the same shelf. Well, besides the Prime, Megatron, and Seekers, of course.

I really want them to do Gears/Swerve, Cosmos, Viper and the rest, but I'm not sure if they will.

I think swerve works tiny just because standing he is at sitting mech's crotch heights.

 

There's tiny, and there's TINY.

It does depend on the general scale of your collection. My 'classics' shelf tends to use Deluxe figures for standard Autobot cars, and Voyagers+ for anything bigger. So guys like Ironhide/Ratchet/Trailbreaker/Cyclonus/Whirl, etc, would be Voyagers. For me, the oversized version of the MB legends is just about perfect for minibots in my collection... they're closer to the old Scout class, which was just a bit bigger than the new Legends scale.

I will say for a g1 swerve the tiny swerve would not work, but he is juuuust IDW enough to look more like him at the tiny size, gears and others would look better bigger though, i agree, MP Bee would not seem so out of scale with a bunch at this 06-09 scout class scale size, because they all are close to his size, and then goldbug would work as a deluxe.

Half the reason i passed on powerglide but want red comet is that he was just too tiny for the design to not feel flimsy, but at the size of a small deluxe he might be pretty damn cool.

 

the os legends work a lot better with mp bee than the non-os legends

 

I picked up the oversized Legends Warpath (with the Megatron body - tank cannon isn't part of the torso). Retail packaging is a box, rather than clamshell like the MB Legends. Will post a pic once I am back at my flat.

I tried transforming it - the toy was packed in robot form. But then noticed the tiny discolored cracks on the leg hinges. Didn't want to risk breaking the toy.

I don't know if oversized Warpath is from the same company that made the clamshell-packed oversized Legends.

I also picked up this multicolored Six Shot knockoff. Has vac-metal wings, but there's an assembly error: another left wing was used for the right wing >_> (link to Six Shot pic below)

I got a package from SirPaul today and it came with a free over sized headmaster head! I love how grumpy the big robot face is.

 

He does... he's a slight bit taller than MP Bumblebee (btw, I agree... I usually display MP Bee with my 'classics' line-up), but he doesn't have the same big-head proportions, so he doesn't -quite- match the minibot aesthetic there.

Not. it's be being sold as a set.

 

The new, sturdier "Jinbao" versions are only in a set. However, the slightly less popular "Machine Boy" OS versions are available separately:

Oh, sorry. I thought that there were already OS versions made by other companies, but they were a bit wobbly in gestalt mode?

Apprently this is floating around, it seems to be called The XingYue Anime Version
Its a Diecast full set of the Warbotron Bruticus (Diecast metal)
If anyone can make out more detail that would be helpful so that we are able to locate this.

If the whole thing is die cast, that would be pretty hefty, probably just a few parts are die cast.


I hope that girl both got the figure for her enjoyment and enjoys it, she looks adorable holding it.
