Do use Seaspray's ability any? I've only played with it on my 2*, and it seems pretty mediocre for the cost.

When you get him 40+ w/ Ability level 6, any cluster of defenses won't have a chance.

Go for level 8 if you can. Takes a while, but is incredibly worth it and satisfying.

My 52/8 Gnaw is on my A team substitutes bench. Really tempted to bring him to ability 9, but I don't have the spark for it, lol

The math says Silverbolt will only ever 2-shot maxxed out things. I think 4*@50/Lvl5 is required to 2 shot mortars, if I did the math correctly a few months ago. Somewhere in this thread I believe I posted the damage calculation for him, and it's not that great. But his ability is cheap and has huge range, so while he's not top tier, he's definitely at least C-Team material.

Space Ape has been very hit/miss with new characters.

Arcee/Nightbird was an interesting idea, but needed the EMP buff to the ghost to be useful.
Sideswipe/Offroad works better than Cliffjumper/Kickback with the Glass abilities, but in the long run, they are still mediocre.
Strafe/Scourge is a beast. 4* is the best defender in the game.
Ultra Magnus/Galvatron has been buffed for their range and the ability is strong. A very solid bot.
Rodimus/Nemesis Prime is a solid attacker, but the ability is really gimmicky.
Seaspray/Octopunch is also a gimmicky ability. I've seen it do next to no damage and I've seen it one shot a mortar. Random.
Gnaw is solid. The ability has many uses, especially against time trap bases.
Star Saber/Deathsaurus has a spectacular ability with incredible range. They are still pretty new to have too many high level versions out yet to see if they'll get the nerf bat.
Hound/Drag Strip has yet another gimmicky ability that hits more buildings than you aim at, making it difficult to use as a finisher, despite it's excellent range.

My Seaspray is 51/6. Two passes takes out max mortars. It has massive range so it can take out multiple guns with 2 passes. I use him in my 6 man team for z12

Only 4* is worth using. If you have a 3*, don't bother

Obviously you're not using Seaspray right. The tornado has to pass by the target square center to deal the most damage

Star Saber does have an awesome special attack, but damn he dies quick.

I only have the 2* Seaspray 40/4, so he is regulated to my bench, since I find 2* Prowl and 2* Alpha Bravo more useful on lower level teams. Seaspray is due for the next release into the 'wild' so to speak, with Hot Spot/Cyclonus added a couple of weeks ago.

    My main team is:
    3* Jumpstream
    4* Firefly
    4* Alpha Bravo
    3* Slug
    4* Powerglide
    3* Mirage
    4* Wheeljack

I like the double Warrior/Aerial/Gunner setup with a Support in the 7th slot.

There are times when I think the laws of probability just break down.

Since the current crystal offered a Torchbearer I hadn't acquired yet, I thought, just this once, buy the bundle and hopefully I'll at least get a 2 star Rust Dust.
3 Star Blaster, 2 Star Ultra Magnus, 1 Arcee Dupe, 2 Ironhide Dupes.

The first one I am extremely happy with, as he was one of my priority targets.
Initial testing suggests even a 2 Star Ultra Magnus is powerful, thinking of making him a base defender.

But the other three, well that's definitely disappointing!
Not even one Rust Dust from the crystal with her name on it???? :cry

I'm a bit ambivalent, on the one hand, I got 2 useful bots, on the other hand, I didn't get the one I wanted.
I'm still undecided if this is a good or bad thing in encouraging me to purchase more crystals later.

Rust Dust is one of several that isn't available as a 2*. With a 3* or better bots, they are the hardest to acquire. Rust Dust and Skyburst are the Torchbearers who have this specification. Wheeljack, Grimlock, Windblade, Huffer and Blaster also are 3* or better bots.

I was given some information on the drop rate of Rust Dust from the crystal I purchased.
    Basically, 50 crystals=1 Rust Dust.
    So 10 bundles at $14.95 each=$149.5.

That seems a lot excessive!

I think I'm going to stick with crystals earned ingame for free if this is the reward ratio.

I haven't spent a dime on this game, only time. I'm at HQ12 with only 2 build bots. I have 5 4* bots, 2 from "free 4* crystal" events, the rest from shards. I have 13 3* bots, mostly from shards. I have pulled 2 new 3* bots and three 3* dupes from Free Daily crystals and a single 3* from a character release event. I've gotten dupe 3* characters at least 5 times from shards. If I spent any money on this game, it would be to buy build bots. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with my results so far.

Yeah bundles/crystals are usually never a good idea unless you're brand new to the game.

Fortunately for me, I already have 3 star mirage, sunstreaker, and prowl, but it will be a pain to get optimus and ironhide. And if I get a new crystal, odds are it will be a duplicate. And 5 star crystals? I have been playing since June and haven\'t even gotten a 4 star bot. Im only like...1,000 shards away.

.........How many people are still playing this game? If the amount of participants have fallen off considerably well good! Their greedy methods should be exposed!

If there's a considerable amount who are still playing this game well then good! Activision needs to take note of this games success and make another quality TF game par with Highmoon's War For Cybertron.

Either way I win w/o wasting my time on this game anymore.

Like the new shot for a 4* bot but no 4*shards rewards that means biggest shot on new bot for me is the 2* crystal.:(
Let's see what my new allaince can do?:)
