You know when you chill some cans in the freezer, then take them out and enjoy a deliciously crisp icy hit?

Someone should tell Lady Napalm about how essential that middle part is, as coming home from work to find the freezer door almost blown off its hinges, and a scene within somewhat akin to the frozen dinosaur mess at the beginning of Age Of Extinction, is a bit of a pisser.

    For fuck's sake.

Umm.........is "like" the done thing here?

I'm having a Banjoted moment about IF Drift/Deadlock. Normally I'm cheerleader-in-chief for this Firm but I've actually found them quite.......dull. That hasn't happened before going all the way back to Manacle &Turret there's always been plenty of versatility and vitality in IF releases but after getting on for a month with these I'm not warming and actually beginning to begrudge the small amount of shelf space they take up.

    This is not Me surely?

Really? I have no real idea about my prices, I don't want to be too expensive and yet I don't want to be giving them away either. I guess I'm going by what I 'remember' I paid for stuff, but then my memory is spotty there. Andras I remember paying £100 something? The OSKOSS I paid £65? Stax was £60 something and Ollie was... £40? £30? I don't remember. Having said that Ollie is such a mess I don't think I could give him away really.

    Edit

@Napalm, this is what I (rather controversially) refer to as 'woman logic'. Woman logic is not confined to one thing, it is many things. For instance. (You know I've been reading too much Mr Men).

I call this house the 'House of Jenga' because rather than put things away in such a way that you can easily access it, things get stacked on top of other things. Precariously. And of course if you don't use said item frequently (or indeed are someone else entirely) you forget/are completely unaware that the next time that cupboard opens things will come tumbling down at you. Traps.

Or things on shelves stacked front to back (so you can't access the back stuff) rather then side by side. Hidden.

Or CDs/DVDs/BDs not being put away properly. She wants to watch, I dunno. Thoroughly Modern Millie. Inside the player is... I dunno. Bad Boys 2. Rather than put Bad Boys 2 back in it's case, it gets put into Thoroughly Modern Millies case instead. This carries on for a while and the cases get put back onto the shelf and then further down the line I want to watch Bad Boys 2. But I have to hunt it down through all the wrong cases until I find it. It's worst with CD's (yes we still use CD's in this house). I know there are many CD's like that here. Minefield.

Don't get me wrong, I love my wife. I really do. But have you ever seen the film 'The Vault of Horror?' Where one of the characters has a fastidiously neat house and has to have things exactly put back the way he's set up? Sometimes I feel like that.

Sometimes when women do stupid things (like waiting at the bottom of escalators to decide their next plan of action!) or block you off in a car park because they want your space, but of course they're blocking you off so you can't leave, and I think to myself, 'this is why women shouldn't have the vote' or 'this is why Donald Trump treats women the way he does' and realise that I'm turning into Mel Gibson and I'm going straight to hell.

Apologies to our resident woman @Vanessa. Haha, this post is thoroughly worthy of being put in that BS blog 'WTF TFW'. Come at me bro's.

Dislciamer: Some of this post may or may not be hyperbole.

Don't worry, you have your own page on that anyway so what's one more?

I recently sold an Ollie v1 for £20 and a bunch of Stax at £30 a go so don't expect to make much back on XTB stuff - people are well aware of what it is now and price accordingly. Andrex may go for what you want because it's the only Scourge out there. G'luck.

I've had an MISB Quantron to flog for getting on for six months and it's down to £200 and still won't shift - anyone remember the original Kapow Price? £330.

Selling most 3P things that aren't FT means making losses it seems these days. Who knew ;-)

Yeah, spot on. @Azrail recently suggested I try selling stuff on the Facebook group and it went brillaintly - thanks dude - had a few requests for Andras too. Setting prices is easy. Look at the prices in shops and eBay, undercut by a smidge - boom, success. Mostly, anyway.

Oi! Stepping in right now before 'a BanjoTed moment' becomes a thing! I am sticking with City Commander, as it happens, but it might be the end of the road with me and IF stuff if I'm honest.

Man, I know women who would FUCK YOU UP for this chat. Reckon you should maybe pop down the Women's March in London today and canvass opinion on your theory? If you put any of my wife's films back in the wrong case she would punch you in the dick. For what it's worth, I know PLENTY of men who demonstrate this level of fuckwittey and way, way beyond.

Yeah, my father in law is a right twat for this kind of shit. He will "tidy" things away without even asking anyone if it's still needed. When you go to where you left whatever it is and can't find it, you then ask him where he put it. The usual replies are "I haven't seen it", "I don't know" and "what's it look like?"

But the worst habit he has is dropping his pills on the floor. Not only does he start complaining he doesn't feel well, I have to pick them up from the floor before the dogs or my kids get hold of them.

    Robots? Still waiting on Gnaw...

@banjoted, haha well, I am exaggerating a bit for comic value. Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus!

@Underlord, oh dear. That sounds less like tidy freak and more like altzheimers. How old is he? A relative of my wifes is a concern. He's becoming more and more absent minded and in conversations goes over what he's said before. It's doubly concerning because his family have a history of early senility.

Look at me. Sexist and Ageist in the same morning!

I agree, there's absolutely nothing wrong with them!
EDIT: I think I'll stop now, before I get myself a reputation. :D

    Hello everybody peeps!!

Well the site's changed a fair bit since the last time I was here then! Nice to see some old faces, as well as the thread gaining a lot of new ones to help sustain it. Hope you're all well :)

Shameless reappearance to list sales stuff before sticking it all up on ebay. Link below, prices are negotiable, varied selection of stuff from MISB Masterforce through Kreo, with some vintage G1 oddities thrown in the mix.

    Sales

I've created a sales email address as my inbox here appears to be full. I'll go and have a look at it now to clear it out a bit though.

Edit: Inbox now cleared out, so PM's are fine.

Sig was too big as I'm apparently no longer a supporter :(

My Mum sometimes does that with the stuff I need when I'm cleaning out the ferret cage. Seeing as how there's poo involved I like to get it over & done with ASAP but if she's moved something without telling me it can take twice as long

Hope your Gnaw arrives soon, he's a great little figure!

    banjoted,
    Badcube Gears in stock?

Part of me is excited, but I've also got a feeling of "Meh whatever" as since I originally paid for it my excitement for MP scale figures from early G1 has gone south. I'm sure I'll like it to some degree because I have fond memories of Gears teaming up with Spidey in the early Marvel comics & the original toy got played with a lot but I think it's going to be one of the last MP figures I get from the era.

    stevil33,
Agreed, now they've got people used to the higher pricing they're not likely to give up on it, probably wishful thinking on my part. I guess paying that kind of price would help justify my turn to the dark side :D

If I was at home I could tell you. I think Andras was about £120. Look on TFS Express for the old price.
The reason I say it will be snapped up is because it's sold out and I've seen some desperate people.

Used to have it, pretty solid wieghty figure, decently poseable, scary I think it's gonna break leg ratchets, easy enough to transform.

Those guys are easily my least favourite IF figures too. I'll let them off for the as they're already on my desk and it's Drift. If I knew what I know now and didn't already have them I wouldn't buy them again though.

I give up. This is the single most frustrating experience with a transformer of any kind that I've had. Nothing seems to work right. In robot mode I can't get the neck flap to actually stay attached to the inside of the torso, and transforming has been literally impossible so far. You're supposed to squeeze the head/neck through a narrow gap under the butt flap and clip it in around the backside, but there's nothing even resembling a clip and every joint succeeds only to get in the way of every other joint. And there's a thousand and one fucking joints on this thing, so bits are constantly coming apart. I have no idea how to get the neck/head bit the right way in while transforming to vehicle mode. The instructions are appalling as well, printed in such a flat grey that I can't pick out any details to make sense of what it's supposed to look like.

I had a tough time transforming Eagle Robo / Leader-1 last night, but at least that was achievable. Serpaphicus Prominion is a pain in the arse when it comes to the arms fitting in in vehicle mode, but I got there. But these two? An exercise in pain and frustration. All help would be gratefully received because I cannot stand the thought I paid £72 for a pair of Action Masters.
