In his wiki it stats: "However, he does not have the trust of his teammates; it was not so long ago that he was a Decepticon."

This is what I am interested in exploring. In my mind, there is more to the story of his time as a Con other than the way it was originally presented in the cartoon and it would be interesting to me if IDW or Hasbro developed the details of that.

 

Read Optimus Prime #2 yet? A good chunk of it is Jetfire as Con.

 

"Con colors" is kind of pointless, though, since some Decepticons have red. Heck, Starscream's actually got a pretty "heroic" color scheme (Red, Blue, and Gray/Silver/White, the same as Optimus Prime). Then you've got Thrust, who is almost entirely red, and Dead End, who is primarily red and black.

The violet-and-teal as "Decepticon colors" and the red-and-white/orange as "Autobot Colors" didn't really come about until later (I want to saw S3, but maybe late S2).

Edit: I mean, it's cool and all, as much as any other alt deco is. It just doesn't have any more "canon" sense to it than, say, EVA MP-10.

 

this talk of "colors" is kinda disturbing... To quote one smart bot with regards to friends

"Ones with... face like this... uh, I think".

I can't remember if we've gotten an exact numerical measurement to his head and/or backpack, but there's this picture:







I'd say he's generally guessed to be 14 in. at the head and 15 or so at the backpack.

I think you're exactly right on with your guesstimate. I made a side by side comparison pic of he and Daca Kronos. Phoenix has definitely got him by 2 inches. Kronos is right around 12" at the head

 

Assume about 14 to the head, and maybe 15" tallest point, and you wont go off too wrong.

 

That's cause Starscream is an earth defense jet fighting the Waruder.

Surprised the small wings/tailfins on the backpack don't fold flat in robot mode.

^ Yeah, from what I remember, PF-01 Cesium and FT-08 Grinder after CNY (February), then FT-10 Phoenix around April.
