I don't know, this Zelda seems just as tough as the others (several scenes show her out in the field with link, even though she doesn't look like she's participating in battles), but it seems like some pretty dark stuff is going to go down in the game.

So is the Switch but not the Wii U version gonna have the dynamic grass that we saw at E3? That's rough. I'll gladly buy the game again when I get my Switch, but I don't intend to do that until 2019 at the earliest. The rest of the game looks about the same but I want the good grass!

I agree. I'm just saying the voice doesn't match that.

2019? Seriously? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Well, it isn't happening this year, I can tell you that. I don't early adopt consoles. I only got my PS4 last year. So I'll see if there are any good deals next Thanksgiving, but I doubt it. There's also the small matter of my country's impending economic collapse, which I expect will happen within two years.

I'll be getting the Wii-U version. Buying a new system is not exactly high on my list right now.

I got Skyward Sword for Christmas and have been playing it. I'm currently in the mines for the first time.

I can see that. If I had a Wii U I'd probably do the same, since the other launch titles don't really do anything for me so far.

Saw some of the new Treehouse footage. Here's a bit of dialogue:

Toffa: "A traveler... Tell me, have you seen a pure-white horse anywhere?

A long time back, my grandfather told me that he once saw the royal family's white horse grazing on Safula Hill...

The thing is...just the other day, one of our customers said he saw a white horse on Safula Hill recently...

Could it be a relative of the royal family's white horse from my grandfather's day?

Well, if you happen to see a white horse on your travels, do you think you could bring it back to me?"

This wouldn't perhaps be referencing another Zelda game... would it?

I wonder if this game will have more than one playable character. The trailer shows a whole posse of different races hanging with the Hero of the Wild (patent pending). Even if it's in a team up style like Arkham Knight it would be pretty cool. That might also be why Zelda has a less flowy attire than usual.

Kind of bummed I missed out on the Master Edition. I stepped away from the computer for several minutes and came back and saw the CE available. I preordered that and then cancelled it while I waited for the ME to be available. I managed to click on add to cart, but that resulted in an error/empty cart. I didn't realize that the preorders had already gone up before I got back. When I searched for the editions, only the Wii U standard edition showed up at the top results. Oh well.....

Well, after a bit of thought, I put down a pre-order for the Wii U version of BOTW. There's barely any launch games aside from Bomberman that I'd want and Mario Odyssey is 9 months away (hopefully there'll be a Mario bundle set). Plus I'd like to pick up a PS4 when GT comes out. It's basically Twilight Princess all over again.

The only shitty thing is, those collector's editions are pretty awesome.

I am so happy this game is going to have voice acting. Zelda is finally coming to the current century. With that said, did they say if there would be any difference between the Wii U and Switch version and if the Wii U one was also March 3rd?

I actually think this is after Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass but before Spirit Tracks as everything appears to be weathered by water. Perhaps this is after the waters return to their normal levels.

I hope it doesn't fit anywhere.

Look, these are Legends... Mythos... They shouldn't -have- to fit together. Would love how you guys try to cannonize Roman/Greek/Egyption/Norse mythology...

Those are different mythologies, but if you want to, Zeus and Thor are the same person. Loki is called Set in Egypt. :lol

No, they don't really have to fit together perfectly. But we know that they took the whole idea of the timeline into serious consideration in recent years, so at this point the odds of them not trying to fit it in somewhere are really slim.

Also, not to start a major timeline discussion, but there's something seriously weird going down with Skyward Sword. I can't be the only one who thinks it's odd that Link defeated Demise in the past, yet he returned to a "present" where his entire quest still happened. Is there a fourth timeline that we've never even seen? Or am I not understanding what happened there correctly?

That might be giving them a little too much credit, but still.

No.. I'm saying.. Trying to fit Greek Mythology together *Cause there are so many stories and contradrictions* And the same for the others. Wasn't trying to say combine them all into one. XD

Same thoughts here. I'm still with my Wii U version plan but so far all the focus is on the Switch version and nothing worth mention about the Wii U version. Like, will it be just a regular release and no special editions? What's the graphical difference? Or the Wii U will come to use or not?

Unless someone went deep down the sea and pulled the Master Sword out of Ganondorf's head, I don't think it's that timeline.

Here are my thoughts on the timeline:

So the Master Sword seems to be referred to as the Master Sword of Resurrection. Keyword there is resurrection.
The Deku Tree knows Link, but Link doesn't seem to remember him/it.
I'm guessing BotW Link was resurrected from the Link that failed in Ocarina of Time.
The Deku Tree in BotW is actually the Deku Sprout from Ocarina of Time.
The location of the Master Sword reminds me of A link to the Past.
So I'm guessing the game branches from ALttP where ALttP Link failed in some way, but there were past heroes between ALttP and BotW.

The only thing I can notice is the color difference between the two. The Switch is darker and the Wii U is brighter it gives a glare effect on the scenery.
