We're back with the next episode in our series looking at missing and altered scenes from the Transformers Generation One cartoon series. This video primarily covers Episode 8 - S.O.S Dinobots and is taken from an unslugged tape of a recording where both Ken Samson and Casey Kasem were not present. However it starts with a single quote from a slugged tape of Fire in the Sky where you shall hear Starscream, voiced by Chris Latta, refer to Skyfire as Jetfire! Your ears are not deceiving you, the tape that we own is from a session that was recorded before Jetfire was renamed as Skyfire. We do not, at the time of this videos publication, own and unslugged audio from this episode and so we shall not be producing a dedicated video for that episode. Man, stuff like Sideswipe's "janitor" line and Soundwave's "Not funny, Skywarp" would've been great in the show. I really wanna know what the context for the latter was.
3:00 onward sounds like me when I'm having sex. But actually, I'm loving these. I actually prefer the voices when they aren't filtered through the robotic synthesizer.
What character is supposed to be speaking at 5:29? The line didn't make it into the final episode. Between calling out their 'brother' and being 'up to our relays in Decepticons' I'm guessing its Sunstreaker, but it honestly doesn't sound it to my ears.
They aren't unless someone finds the animated versioned it's unlikely. As far as myself and my brother know we have the only surviving tapes but i do expect that there may be others either with collectors who have never come forward, with Wally and his family or possible in an audio archive. If the cut scenes are on the slugged tapes, and I need to check which are and which are not another time, then it means that the scenes WERE animated as they have been timed (what the slugging process does). So those scenes existed and may well still exist on a VHS tape in someone's attic / storage or in the archives of an animation museum. Sideswipe is at the start of the episode and Soundwave is after Skywarp get knocked by thhe Dinobots so it's directly after the previous sound bite.
