I'd prefer a balance of robots and humans, personally. I haven't actually bought any of the humanoid figures yet, since none of them are from shows I follow, but they look very nice and it's a subsection of the line I'd be very happy to see expanded. However, the robotic characters are excellent as well and I'd hate to see the line drop those entirely. Optimally, I'd like to see each Revoltech "wave" consist of two figures: One human/humanoid and one robotic character. It would also be great if they made the Evangelion stuff into it's own subline so the tons of EVA-related figures wouldn't constantly be hogging the slots for robotic characters.
I'd say maybe a Robot to Human ratio of 4:1. Every 4 robots, 1 human. I think that would work pretty well.
Maybe they could do a Revoltech Kona-chan and a Revoltech Foreigner for her to beat up! More seriously: I still want more F/SN Revys... Gary
Sorta/Kinda. The idea with mecha musume art is to take military vehicles...and turn them into cute anime girls. Sort of like the Gundam Gals if you've ever seen that line of artwork, or the OS-tans. It's not so much that they're named after vehicles so much as they ARE the military vehicles...in cute little girl form. The Japanese can turn anything into a cute little anime girls.
BBTS has pre-orders, and pictures, up for some upcoming Revoltech EVA figures... New Movie Version Zero Type - Comes with stand, two swords, massive gun, umbilical cable, standard rifle and usual assortment of interchangable hands. New Movie Version First Type - Comes with stand, extra head, extra hands, prog knife, interchangable shoulderpads, umbilical cable, what looks like an energy burst and some grey pieces I can't identify. New Movie Version Yashima Weapons Set - The new shield and positron cannon
The shield and rifle are seperate, and cost 20 on their own? Glad i'm not a huge EVA fan, that sucks.
They really need to cool it with all the EVAs. I don't mind a few variants but nearly half the revoltech line is from one series now. I love 'em even, but still, give some other stuff (BIG O!!!) a chance.
Big O was horrible. It was like Batman, except instead of swinging around in a cape and cowl, he had a giant robot. Who couldn't do squat. Oh, who saw that new Revoltech little girl? Not sure of what her name was...
I got Saber in the mail today. I only bought her because it was a Revoltech, and I have been quite obsessed with them lately. I wanted to see what the 2G joints were like. I guess they have smaller and more positions? Anyway, I adore any figure that can do this:
I dont really get the 2g revoltech joints either but I like the 2g Saber a lot . I'm gonna have to get that Eva 1 F Type armour some time.
Interesting news about Saber Alter: You may note that Saber has two different swords - the clear, blockier sword (I won't give the name away) and the curvier sword you see in the above pic. Well, Saber usually has that blocky sword available in a non-clear form. And as it happens, Saber Alter will come with both a black version of the blockier sword, and a blue-and-gold version for the regular Saber to use! Yay! I'm getting Saber Alter - but in my fanfic, she is not the same character you see in Fate/Stay Night... And GogDog - nice pics! Way better than my own photos... Gary
There has been no mention of any more G1 figures currently. Kaiyodo only releases figure previews about 2 months out. So no new G1 Revoltechs have been announced yet. But I don't think there is anything stopping them from doing more of them if they wanted to.
