no (although the face doesn't help), it's that even though all the parts are in the right places, all the "details" are off ~ to me he just doesn't "feels" like Kup in the way that the (still problematic) Generations version does, or the way this figure just NAILS Topspin.

 

Alriiiiiight! Jumpstarters were the first G1 figures I owned so I have a strong love for their doofyness.

The only question now is: will he be Misfire or Slugslinger?

Wait, Maybe the mold is lacking that backpack the original toy had perhaps? Considering Kup did have a huge backpack.

And, yeah Topspin is rather impressive. Especially since his original toy only has one step. And it's triggered by a pullback motor.
And how it came to having a Space Folklift to actually good-looking Spaceship.

I like it. Wasn't planning to pick up this figure but I have the G1 original and now I'd love to get them side by side.

Topspin was one I had in the G1 days..NOSTALGIA OVERLOAD.

 

Still no garantee that they will make Twin Twist. We did only get some of the heads of the HM Juniors, and only rumors and hopes that they actually make the bodies for them. I really do hope that Hasbro does make him and the others as well.
Hasbro's gonna do what Hasbro's wants to do. Do they listen to the fans, yes to a point, but they're always going to do things that the fans won't like either.

 

holy shit... hes absolutely PERFECT. I pray to Primus this gets retooled into Twintwist! then I can finally take those FOC Ruination abominations off my wreckers shelf!

 

I fully expect Hasbro to skip on doing Twin Twist. It took them three years to complete the Insecticon trio and did one Monsterbot while pushing the others to the stinking Titan Master size class.

 

I don't see them not doing Twin Twist since it's literally a new head, drills instead of those space fork things, and different shoulders. We know how much Hasbro loves an easy retool, and that's a lot less effort than they've been putting into most figures in this line.

 

if they did him "right" though, they'd need completely new arms with treads on them. (and no wings)

regardless, i have to believe he gets done eventually.
