I know I can't wait to see that devy in Proto and color ... they would crush it if they did superion.. imagine if they get intense with it after omega and devy and do fort max

As cool as the Yamato/Arcadia VF-1s are, they do lack the inaccurate chunk that made the old Takatoku VF-1 so charming, to the point where its affectionately called the "chunky munky". The proper VF-1 design is more lithe and tall looking. Thus, the more accurate, newer toys of the VF-1 don't really scratch the same itch; the old Takatoku could fit in seemlessly with the Diaclone toys; but the Yamato stuff, not so much. I could see Gigapower/Cloud 9 tackling a very toyetic Jetfire. I'd like to see that, but not this design turned into a toy version of Jetfire. The alt-modes are too fundamentally different.

I gotta say, I know that Kronos has his issues and that this will likely be more solid and fun to transform, I still like the looks of my Kronos better. Maybe it's because I'm used to looking at it and I think it fits the look of jetfire. I'm looking for a reason to push me over the edge to get this I guess and it will have to be in hand reviews that will help push me over. Can't wait!

I can't speak for the rest of that beautiful wishlist, but Dalianjj has told me they have no plans for Jazz. So currently the MT one is your best bet... hopefully MMC and BC and give it a go for options.

Man, someone really should do a proper Ironhide.

Yeah, he's told me the same thing. What gets me is it doesn't make any sense not to do him. He's such an easy cash grab character to do. TT is trapped in licensing issues and people are desperate to get him. He's arguably the top tier character that still hasn't had a proper MP version yet. The fans want him, TT won't do him anytime soon, and the options now are not great. Why FT isn't doing him is just beyond me.

If FT did my wishlist in 2018 I think there's a good chance that everyone would forget about every other MP maker, including TT. Most 3Ps can't match FT's quality and the TT releases are so dismal lately that it would be easy to snatch the market from them with some highly coveted releases.

I love Fanstoys but how can you say TT is abysmal? Inferno is great, 2.0 megatron looks awesome. Beast wars Optumus primal is really cool also.

I hope TT can do Jazz soon.

I suppose in that case; getting an old version to repaint is not entirely impossible since they do pop up on ebay from time to time.

It's just that a lot of us are disappointed in their design choice to pure cartoon and not like the mix of toon/toy/real like we had before.

    Where did I say "abysmal"?

    Dismal:
    adjective
causing gloom or dejection; gloomy; dreary; cheerless; melancholy:
    dismal weather.

    Abysmal:
    adjective
extremely or hopelessly bad or severe:
    abysmal ignorance; abysmal poverty.

I was conveying disappointment in TT releases, not their extreme lack of quality. Inferno has a ton of poor design choices that I think the old "Hasui-MP" approach could clean up and give us an awesome version of the character. Same applies to the megs figure, which just looks funny and kind of silly in some areas.

Optimus primal does look awesome, but I'm committed to G1 only, otherwise my shelf and wallet would explode.

Don't quote me on this but I don't think he said 'they had no plans', it was more of he 'was on the backbench' if you know what I mean. I think they probably wanted to see how well TT's was received before moving forward with theirs.

Im thinking Takara has a Jazz coming. MakeToys jumped their release up and it seems the entire licensing w Porsche thing may have been a hoax.

We already have how many other Jazz(i/es)? Retailers aren't gonna want to stock a bunch of the same figure. Im happy to see FT do other characters at this point.

Phoenix looks great. A bit more heroic than Id like him, but he will be mine...

Lol, I was reading posts at work and read fast. I don't hear dismal used much so I must have just replace do it with abysmal.

I like Inferno, but any improvement can always be better. What were you Thinking? One thing that does bug me about infernos that it's incredibly hard to get his head tucked away. The silver hose on the wing flange doesn't want to slide in the place easley and my figure.

I tend to like the cartoon look best so for me it's not really a problem but I do like the pots that are slightly updated to look cartoon/IDW.

Ps. So far I thing the new Megsteon is the best option. His legs look good. I have Apollyon and he looks ok but build quality sucks.

I guess the transition happen slowly but you're right. My Prowell with reprolables looks incredible. I do like inferno but there could be a lot more detail to make him look like an actual fire truck. What do you think would make the difference? Do you thin small details like rivets? I guess it kind of escape me because I tend to lean towards the cartoon look but I do like a hint of the real put into that for a slightly updated modification.

Everyone here has had some really valid points!

Remember when Kronos was on EBAY for $500USD? It pales in comparison to this thing!
