Does that make the Facebook link inaccessible to those outside the UK? I can't even view them.

If they are inaccessible, no big deal. More of curiosity question since I've never encountered regional Facebook access.

Received an email this morning stating that they have cancelled my subscription due to an "inaccurate delivery address", despite my address being perfectly fine!

I've emailed them asking for clarification.

Found Target: 2006 at a WHSmith in York. My girlfriend and I are considering going halfsies on the whole set. Can't start paying yet, so I hope we don't miss out on the chance to get all of them.

They said too me that they will send an invoice too confirm my address and payment deals. I also asked them how to upgrade to premium since their is no option to cancel the subscription on the site at the moment and they basically said "I dont know, just wait for it too come out then email us"

I really hate these people. Like I am glad we're getting all these comics, but I hate these people. They seem less than half assed.

Got issue 1, and unless you already own a load of Marvel UK TF comics, £1.99 is a complete no-brainer price for what you get. All of Target:2006, some history of the comic at the time, a spotlight on The Wreckers and more, all presented in a hardback cover.
The standard price of £9.99 is a little steep but could be far worse. I'm certainly seeing this through for as long as I can find them in stores. Next issue is gonna be £6.99 and supposedly contains Spotlight: Shockwave and Stormbringer.

I think £9.99 is actually very reasonable (go check the price of TPBs on Amazon). If all/most editions are the same as issue #1 (which contained the equivalent of 8.5 US-length issues), that's a pretty good deal. Plus I'm a sucker for hardback editions and have been waiting a very long time for this...so despite having the Marvel issues (where my interest/heart really lies) multiple times and formats, I'm in for this!

Posting this here as well (from the new thread)

Okay, so because the official website was so incredibly vague about what is in the books, I asked Simon Furman on his blog. Here is what he said:

So, yeah, everything from Marvel, Dreamwave, even IDW will be included, but the release order will be all over the place. Which I don't much like. Honestly, I need Marvel G1/G2 (US and UK) but nothing else - I already have every TPB from DW and IDW of comics that I want, but I will not want to pay 10Ł for, say... Micromasters or Mike Costa's G1 or say, All Hail Gagatron.
I hope the issues will make it to Ebay.co.uk and then I can just buy the G1 ones.

So, wait, the UK issues have no printed covers in the book? That's a bummer... Also, can you tell exactly how many issues one book contains? Again something that should be on the official site.

I'm also a Starships subscriber (or I was, until I got all the ships I wanted), and I can categorically say that the Borg cube is utterly rubbish. Trust me, you're better off without!

It seems I may have jumped the gun on that one - turns out the issues they sent me were the trial ones, still. Apparently there have been a few changes since those first editions and the mass-retail versions might have a few differences. I think one of the changes is that they've decided to re-jig the spine artwork a little. Maybe all the covers included now, I don't know.

[EDIT: Just to reiterate, the missing covers in the trial volumes were the UK covers to the issues that re-printed American stories, so the UK covers for Decepticon Graffiti, Aerialbots over America etc. were missing. All the covers for UK-exclusive stories like Target:2006 were present and correct.]

The number of issues in each volume will naturally vary, considering that the UK stories varied in page count from 5 pages per issue (some parts of Raiders of the Last Ark and Enemy Within) to I think 18 or thereabouts (Distant Thunder).

Similarly, the US Marvel issues ranged between 16 pages to thirty-something (issues 50 and 75 had higher page counts).

So depending on which issues are covered by which books, some volumes will naturally contain more issues than others.

I just picked this up, the Target 2006 uk covers are included as a 'gallery' at the back, the US issues included have the full size covers included in the story (But it's still the case of no uk cover versions for these stories)
    Included are UK# 78-88 and US #21,22 & 23.

So I picked up issue one just cos the price was too good to pass up...

I'm totally conflicted about this. The UK material looks great; better than in IDW's Classics UK books (though I'm pretty sure that's just down to the differences in paper quality). I also love the idea of B&W UK stories in colour for the first time... BUT the US reprints are atrocious compared to my old Titan TPBs - all the fine line detail is gone, yet most linework and text is now over-heavy, presumably as a result of the recolouring process, so you get characters appearing with thick outlines but with almost no facial features! And what in heck has happened to page 10 of Decepticon Graffiti? Somebody cocked up there.

Do we know if the newly-coloured UK stuff will appear in upcoming Classics UK volumes? Since I'm already five books in there (and they have heaps of great behind-the-scenes info) I think I'd rather just carry on with those, even if the print quality is a bit muddy.

The problem with the newly-coloured UK strips is that Bove used the dotty, Marvel-US type of colouring (in a deliberate attempt to be retro). Apparently the whole point is so that it meshes better visually with the surrounding US strips, but the way in which the US stuff has been 're-mastered' (i.e. with the dotty colouring replaced with flat colours) it means that, rather than blending in, the UK stuff actually looks out of place with its rampant dottiness!
