OK, some silly questions bothering me - apologies if asked/answered before.

On the cards/boxes for the Titan Masters toys, it says that the various Titan Masters convey some special ability to the combined robot they form when they connect to a larger bot. OK, great. But are those abilities exclusive? In other words, does that ability only manifest with that specific pairing, or would that ability work with whichever bot the Titan Master was connected to?

A specific example, just to make sure yinz follow me...Hardhead and Chromedome are in heated battle with the evil Decepticons when Chromedome is wounded. Oh, no! If they take cover and swap heads, does Chromedome gain a healing ability and Hardhead gain the ability to perform mnemosurgery?

While we're on the subject of Chromedome - mind you, I'm not caught up on IDW - Chromedome was already a mnemosurgeon. How did gaining a Titan Master give him this ability if he already had it?

The bios on the cards, boxes, and The Power of the Titan Masters booklet should be thought of as there own 'micro-continuity' that takes notes from other continuities but is not a part of them.

In The Power of the Titan Masters booklet, Apeface connects to Skullsmasher and they are able to use Apeface's granted ability. So the ability works with whichever bot the Titan Master was connected to. Otherwise it would limit the mix and match appeal for a real life reason.

The Chromedome from this micro-continuity is inspired by the IDW G1 Chromedome in the mention to mnemosurgery but is not the exact same character. Chromedome in the IDW comics is not a Headmaster/Titan Master user. Hasbro is most likely having Stylor's granted ability be mnemosurgery in reference to IDW Chromedome.

Yeah I agree. It's the little guys that give the bigger ones the abilities. I like this little spin on it. They couldn't engineer the original gimmick which involved showing various stats on the figure's chest that changed based on what Headmaster was on, so they gave the stats with the cards & little bios to spice things up instead. I'm happy with that idea.

I really like the heads giving the bigger bots powers, but some of them are insanely powerful. Doesn't someone's head give them the ability to rewind time for 10 seconds?

Uh-huh. I believe that's Infinitus. Plus other crazy stuff like Xort being able to copy other TM abilities & Sovereign being connected to Primus which gives Alpha Trion near infinite energy. His card even says so.

To be honest, my biggest takeaway from the cards is that Rodimus is smarter than Highbrow.
