Hey everyone! I've been checking out this website for quite some time now, But haven't entirely been sure how to introduce myself, but now I final have something! After seeming that Combiner Wars Optimus prime was a repaint/retool of Motormaster from the same line, I got an idea. For the past few months, I've been working on repainting a Hasbro G1 Motormaster figure into Optimus Prime. Right now, it's just the repainted Motormaster figure without any of the combiner components. It still transforms into all modes and can be posed with ease. There is already some paint chipping as some may notice, but I'm still rather happy with it, being one of my first customized transformers! I'd love to here what everyone thinks, as well as were you think I could improve, and what techniques you believe could be beneficial. Thanks for taking a look!
That's great. I love the idea and the cab feet are so distinctively Motormaster, but it works well her. Nice job.
Interesting idea! Are the rest of the Stunticons going to be done as the Autobots that made up the fake Menasor in "Masquerade"? That's what I wish we got in Combiner Wars!

Wow, very good! About 12 years ago I did this custom. In Brazil we did not have much availability of items so I had access to many KO of these Stunticons. I made Optimus; Ironhide (First Aid); Smockscreem (Streetswise); Tracks (Ligthspped) and a Sideswipe (Breakdown). I ended up saving it to redo some parts that got bad but never moved! XD In addition I made a Seeker One - Repaint of the Aerialbots and a Giga Magnus, with an Ultra Magnus in that same mold of the Motor Master.
If I manage to find the time, the remaining Stunticons, and the combiner components, I may end up doing this down the line! Another idea I had was possibly making G1 alpha bravo from vortex (Or a mold brother), as well maybe Rook, and or, Offroad from Swindle. I don't know why, but I like the idea of remaking some these new character as if they were always apart of the team. I likely won't be getting to these any time soon as I've got other projects already lined up and ready to be worked on.
This is way cool! I'd love to see those other ideas you mentioned as well. Good luck with whatever you're working on next!
