Have the details come out on the deluxe editions yet?

 

Awesome. This might be the best Scorpion figure I think I've seen.

 

Are you referring to the Special Editions? They are limited to 1 per case and have bloody/battle damage paint deco. No extra accessories.

 

Really like these figures. I'm at least getting Ryu, Bison & Ken. I've no personal investment in Alex's character so I'll be passing on him.

 

I can not wait to get Scorpion! Definitely planning on picking up Sub-Zero, Goro & Shao Kahn as well. Goro looks like a thing of beauty!

Passing on the Special Editions though. I was interested until I found out they're really just blood splattered variants instead of actually bring Deluxe Editions.

 

I was really excited when I first saw this, and even more hype when they showed Alex (especially before someone like Chun-Li), but man, I think the Figuarts might do it for me more.

But I do love the look of these figures; I think they capture the look of the game perfectly, even more than the Figuarts, and I love the logo stands and the effect parts, especially Ken's Shoryureppa.

 

These actually don't look terrible. Hopefully they sell well enough that we get more than just the main MK guys.

Man, Scorpion is terrifying with his mask off... looks like a mummified Dementor.

Anyhow, I'm getting both this guy and Sub-Zero, while passing on the other figures. I'm not really a MK guy (always fell much more in the Street Fighter camp) but I do like the MK ninjas. Their color-coded variation-on-a-theme aspect always appealed to me; they're like the Seekers of Mortal Kombat. I hope they realease this base figure in a few more color schemes... especially the Reptile and Smoke flavors.

 

Waiting for BBTS to get Scorpion but I've been tempted to buy internationally out of impatience.

Never got the "10 day notice" BBTS usually sends out for preorders so, I still may do that.

I got tired of waiting so I just bought one from overseas. Hopefully registered airmail means relatively quick.

Watch BBTS get them next week. I'll feel like an ass if they do.

 

I think you guaranteed BBTS getting their shipment in on Monday.

Paint is a tad sloppy on the yellow parts. Good everywhere else.
