Just because you are flip-flopping with the argument doesn't mean I can't read.

 

Personally I'm not a fan of characters that were originally not Headmasters now being Headmasters, but I've made my peace with it. What DOES bug me now though, is that all of these originally non Headmaster characters are being made in place of characters that actually WERE Headmasters. Where's my Terrorcons and Headmaster Jrs? And no, making just their heads doesn't count. If HasTak is actually devoting a whole line to the gimmick, the least they could do is not skip half of the characters that were originally part of the gimmick.

I feel the same way about the CW/UW line with all of the combiners still not present, but will see if the rumors of the line continuing pan out first before getting mad about having an incomplete line.

 

The example we used is Powermaster Optimus Prime. Not Ginrai. Powermaster Optimus Prime does not exist in Japanese continuity. Only in US/UK continuity, in which he is the same character who appears in the first Transformers media, the Marvel comic, as well as the second, the Sunbow cartoon.



So yeah, about Powermaster Optimus Prime, you are completely, 100% wrong.

They all look very different from each other and from the actual toy too. Who ever is doing the card atr is taking a lot of liberties.

But they don't have to and we don't care. There is a difference. We come here for news of toys we are interested in and people are annoying with being surprised every time again that someone is a headmaster. They should be surprised when someone isn't. The complaining and discussing if bots should be or not be Headmasters or powermasters is neither productive, nor on topic. It derails the threads and hinders people discussing the figure. So yes, people can say what they want. But this is not the place. And don't call me boy, child.

 

Im with southtownkid on this one, how is Powermaster Optimus Prime not Optimus Prime? We are not discussing Ginrai so his status in the anime (supergod masterforce not headmaster) actually has absolutely no bearing on this discussion. Powermaster Optimus Prime was always intended to be an upgraded Optimus Prime and that is exactly how he was released in the USA. Heres a further case for changing gimmicks, in G1 Powermaster Optimus Prime had no additional figure to combine with, Godbomber was exclusive to Japan and the Super Ginrai version of the toy. However during the commeritive series Powermaster Optimus Prime was packaged with Apex Bomber, so was this not supposed to be Optimus Prime despite being labeled as such on the box?

Everyone is absolutely and 100% free to have an opion, but its annoying and disheartening to read about people being so insulted by toys, seriously is this what our fandom has devolved to?

I want Nighbeat, Siren, Go Shooter and Minerva to be repainted from Chromedome with the Loudmouth and Nighbeat heads. Nighbeat and Siren would switch head molds like in the comics.

And regarding Hosehead, I hope they do a Deluxe firetruck for him.

 

I reckon Hosehead could be made from a Chromedome style retool of Hot Spot that dummies out the combining. A new mold would be good though.

Who could you retool an original mold Hosehead into?
