Beautiful pictures and review, Maz! I love the one of MP-21 and MP-21G sniggering at "Red Boby". If I were to be *really* petty, however, I would point out that the screen cap of red Bumblebee from the cartoon was actually taken by me and originally posted here:

(Unless someone else took a shot of exactly the same frame, which is possible because it's only there for a few frames.)

Then I might go on to grumble about how no one seemed to appreciate my "hilarious" joke about red Bumblebee being in the cartoon at the time, but now all the cool kids are using it.  

I still need to paint the crest of a spare MP-21 battle mask red, come to think of it - Dryl recommended some paint that I bought, so I must get around to it, as he does look great with the mask.

Heh heh, no need, I really was being *very* petty, but thank you!  

What's amazing to me is how pictures look yours can really bring out how good the Beetle mode looks. This one, for instance (I hope you don't mind me re-posting it here from your blog post):



In-hand, the alt mode can look a little long, thin and flat, but pictures like this really show off how good it actually is. I suspect that the apparent "off-ness" of the Beetle mode is actually just caused by a trick of perspective because he's so small. Photos like the one above that replicate the perspective of how a Beetle looks in real life when you're standing in front of it give me a whole new appreciation for the figure. I absolutely love this photo. (There was another great one you posted the other day of MP-21 and MP-21R in alt mode together.)

 

Thank you mate and no trouble at all, I am hugely hugely impressed by the vehicle mode on this mould. It is so vintage and looks properly aged, I almost expect it to creak and I can totally hear the signature engine note when I gaze upon it. Thank you for the kind appreciation. Bumble truly presses Magnus for the best Masterpiece of all.

I'd love to see a custom of Bumblebee with rust, come to think of it. But they are two of my favourites, too (I still have a soft spot for Sideswipe as well). I look forward to your review of Ironhide, as I think he is up there with Magnus and Bumblebee, which I never expected at all.

 

Oh I'm gonna toot from the rooftops about Arnhide if I like him that much because I said last year I had a feeling he was going to be an excellent toy, and possibly this year's Magnus!  

I'd really like a blue Bumblebee that isn't Glyph.

I got the red battlemask from froggy124 who's here on the tfw boards, a while ago - it's just what he needed for that old school toy accurate look!

 

Has this been knocked off yet? I've got one coming and want to make sure I'm not getting a knock off. The listing states it's a Takara original and it comes with the coin.

 

No bootleg yet.

Awesome, thanks! I agree with you, the Red might be my favorite version of this little guy. Definitely need to swap on the battle mask face though. I'm actually thinking the gold crest of the mask that comes with 21-G might look cool on him.
