Nah, he was obviously using it to try and fend off the Decepticons. It happening hours before the attack would suggest that he actually tried to beta-test it.
ROTF Leo: If there was one character I cannot stand in the franchise it's this a-hole no doubt. Normally no TF character ever made me mad even if they did things that annoy me but this guy managed to get me riled so much that I grinned when he got zapped in the nuts. Not even Miko, the armada kids and G1 Wheelie of all bots got me this angry.
I might be late but here's my least favorite TF Characters: -Prime Optimus: I like Prime, but he's just bland. They tried to make him serious and he turned out boring and emotionless. I tried to care for him, really but he has no characterization what so ever. -Sam's Parents in Bayformers: Every single time their on screen they're either screaming like morons or just being annoying -Rattrap When I was watching season 1 of Beast Wars, Rattrap was so annoying to me that I almost wanted him to die. -Prime Miko in Season 1 Ok seriously, she would cause trouble all for an adventure or pics on her phone. Really annoying. At least she got useful in Season 3 of Prime. -The Armada kids Oh god. A lot of episodes revolve around them and they're useless and say "Huh?" too much -Kicker from Energon I don't have to fucking explain why.
RID Sideswipe. I cannot, for the life of me, understand this moronic d-bag's appeal. He's almost utterly useless in a fight, disobeys orders on a whim, hangs on Windblade's arm like a lovesick puppy, winds up Strongarm in an unbearably unfunny fashion, has the attention span of a goldfish, acts like a tryhard 'rebel' to piss people off, never takes anyone's advice seriously unless it benefits him, rushes in like a moron even in situations where it'll get him killed, and has the competency of a speak-and-spell on opposite day. And his voice acting is atrocious. The worst part is that the show seems to side with him, even when it's proven that he has no idea what he's talking about. Why? It really says something when a glitching Mini-Con, a stick-in-the-mud nobody, a wannabe Dinobot, a zombie, a Gary Stu, a Japanese stereotype with no personality, a slacker and a kid are far more credible choices for Autobots than this absolute waste of thought.
I think CW Windblade can take that spot for me. As I said in the "why does everyone hate Windblade" thread: She's like Kicker, but has a lot less motivation for her attitude, making her arguably WORSE than Kicker.
Every single movieverse character. Especially Optimus (a walking contradiction to his character), Megatron (worst villain ever), Skids & Mudflap (Carbombya called, it wants it's racism back), Sam (biggest Gary Stu in the entire franchise), Lockdown (biggest Villain Sue in the entire franchise and an insult to his Animated counterpart), Sentinel Prime (boring Villain Sue), Drift (another racist stereotype and a disgrace to his IDW namesake), Wheelie (who is somehow even more annoying than his G1 namesake), Jetfire (unfunny comic relief and a disgrace to his G1 and Armada versions), The Dinobots (nothing but an overglorified Deus Ex Machina), and The Fallen (does fuck all and is an insult to his Dreamwave incarnation). CW Windblade. Angsty Mary Sue. Kicker. Easily the worst human character ever. Energon Ironhide. Worst kid appeal character ever, aside from... BM Nightscream. One of the many reasons why Beast Machines blows. Hell I can put down every single character from that show aside Megatron and Jetstorm.
Most of the Animated cast, especially Megatron, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, Arcee, Lugnut, Blackarachnia, and all the human villains. Nightscream from Best Machines. Sideswipe and Hoist from Armada Kicker from Energon. Shane from the movies. Miko for the first half of Prime. Most of the MTMTE cast, especially Swerve, Nautica, Megatron, Rodimus, cosplayer Ultra Magnus, Drift, Cyclonus, and Nickel.
- Rattrap was easily the most annoying character in Beast Wars, if not the most annoying character ever. I love his character design but he has a more whiny version of Bugs Bunny's voice...which he uses to whine. All the time. He should have been shot in the pilot episode. - Animated Bulkhead. I just can't like his "big dumb guy" character. - Wheelie in Revenge of the Fallen. Like Rattrap but perverted. - Prime Optimus Prime. It would have made more sense if it was revealed that he was just a spark-less robot built by the Autobots after the real Optimus died.
Please provide a detailed explanation for each character. Note - you will have to actually read the comics and provide references to specific events. Sure you're allowed your opinion, but you will need to back it up.
Just about everyone is AOE, although I'm gonna give Prime a pass since it's Peter Cullen we are talking about, but Drift and Crosshairs are easily the worst in every way. Between character design, writing, and the stereotypes they are meant to emulate...humanoid looking Samurai with a Japanese accent, then Crosshairs who seems to be a humanoid British SAS paratrooper or something along those lines. It's just asinine....why would Cybertronians have so many specific human characteristics? There is no logic to it.
