Best: Brawl. Or onslaught.

Worst: Breakdown.

 

Best: Hotspot. Something about his robot mode just exudes cool.

Worst: Sky Lynx. Combiner torso mode makes him look like a Power Ranger mech. Not for me. Though I like him when not combined.

 

For the record, UW devy rules them all. So excluding them:

Best Voyager: Hot Spot
Worst Voyager Optimus (although that upgrade kit makes a TREMENDOUS difference)

Best deluxe: First Aid - Alpha Bravo and Rook are close seconds
Worst Deluxe: Breakdown mold, followed by Brawl

Best combiner: Objectively...... UW computron, but CW Defensor is still my fav. Love UW Superion and both Brutici as well.

Worst: Anything using the optimus/motormaster mold. They suck as torsos. The PE set does do wonders though.

 

My favorite will be UW-Bruticus/UW-Combaticons. Just still very awesome! Colors, shuttle, etc.

That said, I didn't really invest that much on this line, so I don't really know which figures are objectively crappy and stuff.

I only have some of the gestalts (UW-Bruticus, G2-Supes and G2-Menasor) and some extra CW torsos (Onslaught, Silverbolt, Scattershot), and they're all good to me.

 

Favorite limbs:
The Dead End mold is probably on everyone's list, but my favorite use is Prowl. No idea why, possibly just because I hadn't planned on getting too much Combiner Wars, but picked up Prowl on a whim, and was blown away. Enough that ha ha, well, I wound up getting too much Combiner Wars.

The Alpha Bravo mold, but my favorite use of it is Vortex.

By and large I don't like the Breakdown mold, but for some reason I adore Jumpstream. Maybe because I keep feeling like, "Uch, that doesn't look like Sunstreaker or Wheeljack" in other versions, but Jumpstream is a new character, so she works for me.

Rook mold is one of the best in the line, and my favorite use is probably Swindle, because it's nice to finally get a G1 Swindle with a proper big-eyed head.

Favorite legends:
Blackjack, hands down. Especially the G2 one, which actually holds onto Menasor's damn chest, at least on mine.

Favorite torsos:
Hard toss-up between Onslaught and Sky Lynx. Pyra Magna comes close, but having to fix the knees was annoying.

Favorite total combiner:
Probably Bruticus. Defensor comes close, as does Victorion, as does G2 Menasor. But Bruticus is just all-around solid.

Favorite non-combiner in the line:
Ultra Magnus. Easy choice.

Worst:
Brawl probably infuriates me most, because he's really close to a good figure. If it wasn't for tolerance problems in his arms, and his weird-ass waist, and bleah, he'd be awesome, but jeez, no. The problems are too big to overlook. And I like Bruticus so damn much, I just wind up squinting angrily at Brawl.

 

Worst:Motormaster, Breakdown, slightly better Dead End, wish-it-wasnt-so: Brawl

Best: Onslaught, Scattershot, Cyclonus, Rook, First Aid, Nosecone, Air Raid, Serenity, Strafe, Vortex, Off Road, Powerglide, Chop Shop
...

Worse is Sunstreaker, just for his bot mode, since alt mode is gorgeous

 

surprised how much love the Streetwise mold as not-Streetwise is getting ~ it's just not the Datsun Bros to me without the door wings and horizontal hood-chest
(and that mold without remolding off the lightbars as Smokescreen and CW Lightspeed is just silly IMHO.)

i mean, i love it as Streetwise!!! just not the other uses.

 

Least favorite: Dead End mold. Favorite: Off Road mold. Runner up Favorite: Any non-car mold.

 

Best: Rook
Worst: Brawl

 

Best molds.

Scout Powerglide, a toy i never thought they will get right espelly after 3rd party fails.
Deluxe Deadend, the most solid of the deluxes and the most stand out.
Voyager Silverbolt, a great mold glad it got used a few times.
Leader Ultramagnus, there serously wasnt many to pick from but this is the best.

Worst molds.

Scout Windcharger, is perportions are way off.
Deluxe Wheeljack, well this mold kinda sucks.
Voyager Hotspot, has far to many empty spot afraid its going to brake and doesnt hold well.
Leader Starscream, someone had to be the loser and the Megatron mold is far better.

All in all i think the legends/scouts are the winners of this line, followed by the voyagers then the leaders then the deluxe's, many of the deluxe's can't stand up well against previous deluxe's in previous lines, though these issues with the deluxe's continue with titian's returns ive just come to accept if i'm doing this hobby on a budget i'm going to have to go Hasbro not 3rd party.

 

Best gestalt: Defensor
Worst: Menasor

Best torso: Hotspot
Worst: Sky Lynx

Best Limb: Ironhide
Worst: Alpha Bravo

Best legend: oversized ko Rodimus who is the old scout size and looks great with G1 Skids
Worst: Black Jack (hate the faceplate) and Wreck Gar (hate the character)

Hate most Legends actually. Bring back Scouts

Miscellaneous:

Love the Leader Seekers and the Constructicons

Ultra Magnus cab is disappointingly small and doesn't transform. Minimus Ambus and Alpha Trion can Slag off!

 

I love streetwise; it's definitely my favorite use of a good mold. However, for me, it's not the best deluxe. It's up there, though

 

Best...


Worst, Optimus Prime. The mold was made to be Motomaster and only works if you can imagine Optimus as a leader who had take desperate measures to find a victory. Also his head looks like a balloon.

 

Favorite mold is probably voyager Skylynx. It's like the thing that should not be... yet somehow works.

Least favorite is legends Groove and the repaints. The integration with the Hot Spot torso is laughable and just plain looks bad.

Best: Sky Lynx. Because who saw that coming when CW started?

Worst: Legends Wreck-Gar. Because it's suppose to do *something* with Sky Reign and Hasbro refuses to tell us what.

 

Here are my picks:

Best

Leader - Megatron, nice solid figure, G1 looks in robot mode, and excellent tank mode with rubber treads. Also, it's rare we see a firing weapon these days too.
Voyager - Silverbolt, I like his alt and robot modes, they really feel G1.
Deluxe - Afterburner/Groove, these guys felt like a slight step up with a slightly more sophisticated mold and more paint, plus two smaller guns, these guys are just very satisfying to hold and transform.
Legend - Powerglide, great bot mode, a decent alt mode, luckily mine pegs together well in alt mode.

Worst

Leader - Skywarp/Thundercracker/Starscream, these guys just don't belong in this size class, it just doesn't suit them. This is probably why they are still shelfwarming everywhere.
Voyager - Motormaster/Prime/BC Prime, I felt this mold was oversimplified and cheap looking, Primes head was awful and legs were awful in combined mode in initial release.
Deluxe - Breakdown/Wheeljack/Sunstreaker, Another cheap looking mold, huge awkward legs and tiny arms, Wheeljack needed more paint severely!
Legend - Goove/Wreck Gar, Long weird legs, tiny arms, lousy alt mode, just weird looking all around.

 

I really like Blades, looks great in both modes, nice transformation scheme and a solid paint scheme and main weapon. The Dead End mould is also right up there.

Worst, with the caveat that I don't own Brawl, is the Silverbolt/Cyclonus mould. Just don't like the proportions in bot mode or the kibble in alt mode, the weapon is also bad, mine not even fitting in the hand properly. It makes for a decent gestalt torso though and the head sculpts are on point, I just don't enjoy them as individual bots.

 

Best- Dead End mould.

Worst- Breakdown and Brawl.
