I am totally and utterly ok with taking liberties with Arcee's alt mode to get her robot mode right.
That car looks fine.
I just don't particularly like the robot mode and a huge part of that is the head. That head needs to be right or why bother.

 

That's actually a lot better. Fix the head size and this becomes pretty tempting.

 

I would accept a parts forming shield for the back end of the car (kind of like Blurr in reverse)...I mean it is *almost* there...

 

Good idea!!!! Hopefully with the suggestions taken recently about TW Arcee that will happen just make her parts form for the back/weapon in bot mode.

 

Isn't Arcee's legs being straight in "vehicle" mode the only difference with those new pics?

 

The pics that was just shown isnt really new cause someone posted them earlier but its as you said it just the legs straighten.

They maybe changes coming for her alt mode if TW really did take all the suggestions they asked for recently.

They didn't "change" her legs. They just transformed her correctly. If you go back and look at the old grey prototype image, her legs were straight in alt mode. The pics we got with the bent legs were mistransformed.

 

The worst part about that vehicle mode is the visible Arcee Hole pointing right at you.

 

Jump ahead to 4:09 (or don't and enjoy all the awesome!) To see where the hips as the rear came from.

As far as this goes, I don't think she's a terrible Arcee, and I will continue to monitor to see if they go a direction I'd like. With the upcoming Koot, I have at least one option for my MP '86 Movie Autobots, so now it'd down to Arcee!

 

Yeah it's a start at least.

 

Aside from combiners, Arcee is a character i accept parts-forming on in order to nail both modes. Every g1 iteration she's had at other scales falls short for me, same story here. Self contained transformation is not worth the aesthetic tradeoffs in her case, imo.

Will look to see how the other rumored offerings look, i would hope this would make sense to one of these 3p companies (barring ingenious engineering we haven't yet seen).

 

I love how they straighten the legs and now it's oh yeah much better.

Haha. Well it was quite a shock to see it mistransformed like that. This makes it look better, but not by a whole lot.

 

Makes it look like Delicate Warrior lol. I'll try and keep an open mind

How tall is she? I know it's "mp scaled" but until I know what size she is I won't know which mp scale. Lol.
If she's way taller than my car bots I can't do it. If she's slightly taller then I can just assume she's 5'11 like Gal Gadot.  

 

I dunno. I am usually willing to give companies the benefit of the doubt, especially when breaking new ground on new figures, however I really am not sure.
