I can't help but get a Twinferno vibe from Topspin... Heavily retooled, of course...

Repugnus is only a titan master. Grotusque as far as I know isn't known yet. But he's possible to do as a retool from Twinferno with new arms. (Something similar to what transmetal Cheetor had in transformation with how the arms became the beast mode head and were hidden by a backpack that folded down.) Or much more accurately could be done as a retool from Skullsmasher/Skullcruncher using new beast mode head, change the alligator mode's back to match grotusque better including wings, a new shorter tail weapon, and new beast mode rear legs so he can stand bipedal. So he's more feasible than say Repugnus that'd need a full new deluxe mold that has no retool potential.

Grotusque is on the rumour list as a Titan Master, and I'm 90% sure he'll use the Fangry mould.

It's good news to see the TR new stuff gravy train is still rollin'

I, for one, do not want to have my beloved Titans Return pull a full stop for movie junk.
I'm pretty annoyed that that seems to be what Takara's going to do... the slow down over there for April & May is unreal...

Makes sense. Repugnus is getting one with a unique titan master vehicle, so Grotusque may get the same.

A lot of these Titans molds seem only a few steps away from other guys. An ambitious Takara could probably take Skullsmasher and come up with Terribull, Twinferno could become Fangry... there's *tons* of potential.

I've been really impressed with how HasTak has handled their reuse of parts in this line so far (Getaway notwithstanding), the way Highbrow/Scourge and Broadside/Alpha Trion share parts is pretty inspiring, and it seems like they've really improved upon Combiner Wars mold reuse (even though I can understand their reasons during that line)

I can easily see several remolds like Fangry/Squeezeplay from Twinferno, Nightbeat from Hot Rod, and so on. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with next!

John Warden has said a while back he's going to push harder for Titans Returns to have as much shelf space as the TLK toyline.

I lean skullsmasher more. He has the Grotusque bot mode chest and legs already. Plus his arms are already designed in a similar way too. Wolfwire would take more remolding to do right, but you brought up an interesting point of how they could use wolfwire's beast mode head in place of the alligator head. Grotusque has a more alligator/crocodile rear half while the winged dog like front. Like a chimera almost. Though I really like the idea of maybe using the same leg style that twinferno uses with how the beast mode legs become bot mode feet. Skullsmashers bot mode though is already almost dead on perfect for Grotusque's bot mode if you compare it to the classic version of Grotusque.

I'm still hoping Toyfair reveals a lot of the Titan heads getting full figures, especially the Headmaster Jrs

I think she's coming soon as we see Arcee is. That's the most likely retool they'd want to do from her. But otherwise, it might be a bit since they may not want to rehash obvious molds too close together. The movie line shift break might give them that spacing though to do it with larger budgets reach.

I'm surprised to see that only Godbomber is announced for May so far. I figure Legends is a more collector oriented line, but for Golden Week (holiday in May) it seems like maybe they could have pushed out a few new releases.

I thought Hasbro said that the Generations line would not be taking a break , but instead be right beside the movie line on the racks ?

it still took a break for AOE, it was just that AOEs collector-grade figures took over the Generations branding/slots for, what was it, 6-9 months? much shorter then the previous movie lines. But standard Generations as we think of them took a break from early 2014 until Combiner Wars wave 1 (aka Wave 1 2015) showed up in late Nov/early December 2014 ~ i remember finding the Crosscut wave right before or after Christmas (i think it was January) and then the Arcee/Chromia wave was basically nonexistent at retail as they were transitioning into AOE.

but yeah, all indications seem to be that Titans Return should be running alongside TLK ~ Honestly, i'd expected TLK to replace RiD'15 s the "media tie-in line" but with RID: Combiner Force being announced, looks like they MIGHT run all 3 simultaneously??? guess we'll find out at Toyfair
