I grew up with armada, it was a major part of my childhood, and probably the series I have the most nostalgia for...That being said, armada is many things, good is not even close to being one of them.

The movies have drawn from all the mythos, but most heavily from G1. You're entitled to your own opinion, but in my opinion, this is one place they should have stuck closer to the original. Hot Rod is, in my mind, meant to be a cocky young american style robot. But hey we'll see what they do with it.

 

These movies haven't really drawn from the G1 Transformers physical traits. They haven't even really drawn from their G1 personality traits very much either.

Movie Sideswipe had zero similarities to his G1 namesake. He was a chrome silver Corvette Stingray Concept, instead of a cherry red Lamborghini. He didn't have audial horns, he had a crest like shaped head. He didn't have a jetpack, he had doorwings. He didn't have feet, he had wheels. He was way too freaking small to be a frontliner. His voice actor gave him way too mature of a voice. He had a very gruff personality, instead of free spirited smartass. No mention was ever made of his twin brother. In short, he wasn't the actual Sideswipe, he was a whole new movie character who shared a familiar name.
Same could be said for Ironhide, Ratchet, most definitely Jazz, Jetfire, etc. Even Bee is a whole different character, though I think the movie version is far better than the G1 version. He just needs his freaking voice.
My point is, the movies are their own thing. With the exception of Prime, the characters are all new concepts with familiar names. They're never going to be the characters from G1, because they are not the characters from G1.
Movie Roddy is not and will not be G1 Roddy. The movie Roddy is his own, seperate character. This could be a positive thing in maybe this new Roddy won't get Prime killed  

 

So that Confirms that the other planet is NOT Cybertron, since it is organic! Also when did Bay said?

Nah..it doesn't confirm that.Remember at the end of Beast Machines Cybertron was both organic and metalic(technorganic) so might take inspiration from that..I mean why not?

 

Them ain't no dark Knights. That's movie light magic with mostly probably this good really beats the bad guys bad. Optimus is fake bad. Megatron might be good bad, sword emblems and matching words and stuff with matching space ships. Down down.
