Considering how bad the 1st series was I have no excitement for the next 2 chapters

 

Right? So is it finally OK to like Arcee again? I know she committed the cardinal sin of... being painted pink, I guess. Arcee was cool without having to "prove" it all the time. She was just another Autobot warrior, and a damn good one. But she was pink and wasn't angsty. And used a gun instead of a sword. I guess that makes her a bad character by 2016 logic. Hopefully people wise up in 2017.

I was hoping they'd get Platinum Games back to promote the Generations line, but I guess they're going with this. Oh, well.

 

Windblade was the 'fan vote character' so that's primarily why she's being shoved down everybody's throats.

Yeah, I'd be all over a Devastation sequel. Please...? But not this.

With all the huge backlash, the one positive thing about Combiner Wars was that I was sure they wouldn't do any more. Definitely not with the same people. WTF, Hasbro?!

On the other hand, while the CW cartoon was a huge step down from the already not great comic crossover, Machinima really has their work cut out for them in making the Titans Return cartoon worse than the already abysmal comic version. But I have faith that Machinima WILL make it worse.

 

I myself only watched a few episodes and then I avoided all future posts and threads on here about it. It was that bad to me. The best way to get rid of something is to not give it any attention, even if it's bad feedback attention. If there is no interest they wouldn't keep flushing money into it.

I personally would like to see some direct to video movies from the various series. G1 after 3 part Rebirth season 4 movie in a classic animation style or a Animated one focusing on events after it finished its run. Or a Beast Machines follow up. But do it in animation akin to their series counterparts. Similar to the D.C. Animated films.

 

I couldn't get into Combiner Wars. I don't remember how many episodes I watched, but it wasn't all of them.

All I remember is that I didn't find them engaging, compelling, or interesting in any way. Simply put, I thought they were a forgettable disappointment. I won't likely be giving any sequels a chance.

 

I'm not sure why you quoted my post as it has nothing to do with a Beast Wars themed line? As I stated I want to see the Generations line actually live up to its name and focus on the many GENERATIONS of TF like it did with Thrilling 30. I loved seeing so many different itterations of the TF franchise get love in one line, and I appreciated the variety!

I also wouldn't call Beast Wars the "sacred cow" of the franchise. If anything that's G1, and Hasbro knows it. The RID cartoon is getting G1 themed stuff needlessly shoved into it. They ignored the 20th anniversary of BW in favor of the G1 movies anniversary, and the past 2 Generation lines have been nothing but G1.

Like I said I respect G1, but I'm not the biggest fan of it. I'd like to see Hasbro consider that there are plenty TF fans out there besides G1ers, and maybe add more variety into each line to throw us a bone or two. Simply put, make the Generations line focus on the many GENERATIONS of the franchise or change the name back to Classics.

 

Least we can say that Transformers Energon isn't the low point of Transformer Cartoons now...

 

Aside from IDW (as I collect the beautiful artwork but don't read the comics), Devastation should be considered the core G1 media explicitly aligned with Combiner Wars.

Prime Wars toy line is G1 amazing and Devastation is G1 amazing.

I would continue to purchase every figure (including all online and otherwise exclusives) and any DLC or further games developed to accompany and promote the Prime Wars. I consider these projects definitive neo G1. In fact, I collected only G1 originals and Masterpiece until Prime Wars.

I could care less about a web-series when I have an unprecedented number of brilliant original voice actors, gorgeous cell animation, a carefully and faithfully executed classic story, and so on, in Devastation. And it happens to be a top-selling AND critically-acclaimed video game.

Or, I ignore all new attempts at an accompanying G1 fiction for Prime Wars and I pop in my new 30th anniversary 4K transfer of Transformers: The Movie, any G1 season, or Headmasters, and I can watch virtually the entire cast of Prime Wars in action.

It's a great time to be G1 fan in the Transformers collecting universe.

That being said...

Machinima should be destroyed for that wretched disaster. No more.

 

Screw Machinima, their channel is swimming in irrelevancy, between Combiner Bores and their clickbait videos.

 

I feel strange saying this: Micheal bay; Save us.

 

IDW Arcee and TFP Arcee both have swords and blades just pointing that out there and the still were able to be cool in their own right as well. Also I feel like it's unfair to label Windblade's character in the entire brand objectively bad just because one version of her was written poorly since her other two versions in IDW and in RID15 are pretty good all things considering.

As for the third part of the Prime War's title that does have my interest. It does strongly hint of the Prime linage making their debut into the Generations line.

I was gonna say XD honestly he made that pile of garbage actually entertaining.

 

Contrary to how good or bad the show is , I`m honestly just happy to see TRANSFORMERS keep getting love , I lived through that short void of no transformers toy or show and it drove me mad , The sight of G2 was fresh blood in a sleepy limb to me   I`ll give this show a chance with hopes they payed attention to all of us complaining .

 

I for one will not add a single click to this crap pile, and I encourage everyone else to do the same. The only way to stop further encouragement of this junk, is to avoid it like the plague.
