It's the accepted pop culture nomenclature. They don't focus on cleaning or singing, yet we still call them "soap operas."

The term soap opera comes from the advertising of dish soaps and detergents to stay-at-home housewives watching melodramas on TV, not from the content of the shows themselves.

And I'm just saying "trailer" is an illogical term, not arguing against its common usage, lol.
