My friend managed to snag tickets for me, another friend, himself and his girlfriend. It's a 3D showing, but that's fine by me thanks to the 2D glasses I bought... because as much fun as vomiting over the people in front of us 15 minutes into the movie would be, I'd just rather not
I'll just walk up to the box office and buy my tickets the day I see it. Probably see it Saturday or Sunday. No desire to see it Friday.
I get it now, but what if some people (Like me) are not Robot Chicken fans. Also, About dressing up as a Stormtrooper. If I see one, I've always wanted to say this joke. After the Force Awakens, that style is so retro. lol
There are 2 thing's I'm hoping for in Rogue One, but probably won't happen since it's not really part of the Trilogy. Spoiler The Opening crawl Spoiler An Epic Lightsaber fight. But probably won't happen since there are no Jedi in this, At least, I never heard of it.
Well, we already know for sure that the opening crawl is a NO-GO. But the lightsaber fight is almost SURE to happen. Vader IS in the movie, after all. Surely, he'll be fighting SOMEONE with his lightsaber at some point. Speaking of which, OMFG I CAN'T WAIT. XD
"A SLIGHTLY LONGER BUT BUT NOT TOO PREQUEL-Y TIME AGO, IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR, WELL, ACTUALLY, THAT SAME ONE YOU'VE ALREADY SEEN A LOT..."
It will start like a classic Christmas movie. Vader sitting in an easy chair in front of a fireplace. Glass of blue milk on a table next to him. He reaches for a book and opens it. Then he speaks. "Well hello there. Let me tell you about the time the Death Star plans were stolen. That sure pissed on Palpatine. He was in a bad mood for a month. Mr Grumpy Pants." Starts reading "A Long Time ago....." At the end of the movie, it cuts back to Vader closing the book "And that's how that happened. Did you see that Rebel get squished by the walker? That was soooo wizar.. I mean impressive. The End. Go home."
During the premier, I hope to get the right topper for my Drink. Last year, I asked for Kylo Ren, they gave me Chewie instead. Just wondering, do you think this movie will have a major spoiler that could ruin the movie for any of you?
I won't be buying tickets in advance. I live near a smaller city, and since we're going for my sister's birthday, I won't need to reserve an opening night seat. I bought Force Awakens tickets the day they were available last year, and it turned out that I didn't need them for my theater. Rogue One will open huge, but it won't be as big as The Force Awakens in terms of box office unless it's the best Star Wars movie ever made.
Got my tickets last night for IMAX 3D. Like The Force Awakens, I'll be seeing this one with my Pops, who loves Star Wars as much as I do. One thing I'm most happy about, is that I got tickets for a reasonable 1030pm show. During the shenanagins last year, I only managed to get tickets for a 1am show.
Ohhhkay, we finally fucking found THAT ONE GUY who hates the Star Wars Original Trilogy, lol. That's it, internet...SHOW'S OVER. Nothing to see here. Let's just wrap it up and go home now. >_>
